huntinsonovagun
Anyone know of an easy way to make strikers? (don't have a lathe) Would like to make them out of Osage Orange, Walnut, Hackberry.....are these all good choices? I know they are all hard wood, but is the Walnut hard enough? Thanks for any help. redbeard
Re: How can I make strikers? You can always whittle one. I whittled a dogwood striker and stuck it in a corn cob. Good striker. I've done the same with the wingbone, as well. I wish I had a lathe, they run around 400 for a small one.
py_archer
Re: How can I make strikers? An excellent striker can be made by adhering some JB WELD to the end of any hardwood then sanding into shape.
