sureshot Posted October 8, 2008 Report Share Posted October 8, 2008 Today in Saskatoon Sask Canada a couger was shot inside the city, they did not have a oppertunity to trankulize it so killed it becouse of the city, they found a coller on the cat, It was collered in North Dakota blackhills on april !!!!!this year!!! That is 1000 Km, or 630 miles that big cat moved, they said the farthest they have record is one who moved from the blackhills to Oklahoma which was 650 miles they said, I was amazed to hear this!! I watched a special on that very same cat one night. It was pretty interesting. Those animals will really move when the feel the need. Heard on the news yesterday about some dog that walked 450 miles from like Atlanta to Miami or something like that. Amazing that they could avoid traffic and other dangers like that. sureshot Posted October 9, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 9, 2008 Did they say why they killed it, or did I miss that part ? too_ they are getting a lot of flack becouse of it I guess but they said they do not have nets there and with the amount of people in the visinity they were scared that the 5 minutes it takes to put the cat down there might be trouble, just there decision and I am pretty sure most wardens would make the right decision, they want to protect them and not kill them!!
