RangerClay
My contractor needed a little help with the 36 foot trusses so I took a personal day today to help lift them (by hand:rolleyes:). Bowtech_archer07
Wow, that doesn't look like fun at all. The last house I helped build we had a crane as well to set the trusses. It really does look great!

RangerClay
The last house I helped build we had a crane as well to set the trusses. It really does look great! thank you! The ground was too wet for a crane. The truck that delivered the trusses got stuck in the yard and had to get towed. You should see the mess. Bowtech_archer07
thank you! The ground was too wet for a crane. The truck that delivered the trusses got stuck in the yard and had to get towed. You should see the mess. I can imagine. We actually delayed the delivery of the trusses a couple of days so it could dry out. We had the trusses delivered by a local lumber company and we knew the owners so they cooperated very well;)

VermontHunter
Looking good there Joe ... I hope that contractor is giving you a break on the labor end of things .. ;) One question tho ,,, why is the roof line higher than the existing one ?? I'm assuming that your intentions are for a cathedral ceiling ..
QDMAworks4me
You looked like you had been at a rodeo this morning when you walked in to school Joe :D
wtnhunt
That is going to make a nice addition Joe. I try to use the loader on the tractor any time I can for stuff like that. Saves a lot of back breaking work.
