GWSmith
First I'll post an Aerial Photo of the area my Father and I hunt in West Virginia each year during ThanksGiving Week. Then the "Numbered Photo's" I post afterwards you have to geuss where they were taken from. Sounds easy enough right??? Well one of the photo's will be fairly easy to pic out and place. I make that the first one...after that they will get harder:D Aerial View: Ground Level #1 Ground Level #2 Ground Level #3 Ground Level #4 Ground Level #5 Ground Level #6 ...and the hardest one to place on the map...LOL...oh who cares...it's my favorite pic of the truck:D

GWSmith
Oh Yeah...I forgot to mention...Check out Dad's Retro RT Camo:D 2 of the pic's are from my Dad's "Ground Blind" from which he's taken 14 deer(including the last pic's buck) since 2003;)

buckee
Those are awesome photos Gary, and I'd love to be hunting there I'll try to figure out the lacals later. I think #2 is from the road looking southwest, taken up near the right hand/top side of the map
GWSmith
Nope...Try again and thanks for playing;)
wtnhunt
Pretty country there Gary. Few of those were easy to figure out. Pretty sure I have 1 and 5. Number 4 think it is one of the two places I picked. Number 2, I have no clue.

GWSmith
The first "Clue"... #2 & #3 were taken where the "Fish Bites"
GWSmith
#2 & #3 are together(just different directions of photo) and taken from where a "Fish Bites"
wtnhunt
The first "Clue"... #2 & #3 were taken where the "Fish Bites" Don't really know if that helps Gary. Guessing 2 and 3 are near the upper left corner. Still think I am close on 5, maybe a bit further north, looks like two small water holes there in the aerial. Am I even close on any of them? GWSmith
....Am I even close on any of them? Your #4's are the focal points of (2) of the Ground Level Photo's
wtnhunt
Your #4's are the focal points of (2) of the Ground Level Photo's So then that is where #2 and #3 are at?
GWSmith
So then that is where #2 and #3 are at? LOL...I'm not telling you where they are...just that #2 & #3 were taken from the same position on the map(where a "Fish Bites") 2 of the places, your #4's, are what 2 different photo's are looking at;) You've already eliminated #1.... Your #3, #5,#6 are wrong...
wtnhunt
OK, I see the fish now. lol. How about 2 and 3 here and 5 moved to the north a bit looking down at the water hole.

You've Eliminated #2 & #3... #5 not even close...Remember that these Photo's were taken by me in the Fall and that #5 is looking up into a pocket;) Message from Dad...LOL

GWSmith
Nice land! Not too bad for the $45 trespass fee/permit to hunt there for the whole entire year in any open season:eek: It's a cattle ranchers property who is just about the nicest person you would ever wish to meet. He will even come and help you haul out a deer with the tractor if you need the help. It's just a tough hunt because you cant get any sleep on the stand in the early mornings. LOL...Just about the time you climb to the right height in the tree you realize it full of roosting Turkeys:p It may be a little tough to fill a tag there this year...they are only allowing 4 Doe total per person in that county:D
Flintlock1776
I may need to hook up with you next season and take a few days off to try it out!
