Strut10
Wow!! Very impressive. The rifles are a bit too "pimped" for my taste. But what a slice of history, eh??
wtnhunt
Those are pretty Jim, look like they should be in a museum to me though. Cool story behind them.
JJL
I don't see the "pimped" look in the guns. Remember these guns are from the sixties and made by Weatherby. Alot of their guns from that era had the two-toned wood. I'll bet in person these guns would be stunning. I wish I had the cash.

Adjam5
Dang those are a nice pair of rifles with rich history indeed. Amazing that the Dad had the foresight to order 2 Fancy Weatherby's for his boys and that they were never shot. Cool. Thanks for sharing. stevebeilgard
i had one of those. not as fancy, but a good german 300 weatherby. best made standard gun i've ever had. my best gun was a 25-06 harry lawson with a cochise thumbhole. most accruate gun i've ever owned. BowtechTurkeyHunter
Ive actually had almost that exact gun in our store .. I personally think they are gaudy looking ... but it deffinately takes a special person to buy one. Ours sold to a guy who was a Weatherby collector it just took the right buyer.
