davetucker
:mad:Well ever since this spring i have noticed my tc pro hunter was starting to rust!!I beat myself up badly for about a month about my cleaning tecniques(sp)!!Was i not oiling them enough or was i oiling them to much!!After about the first month i started seeking advise from a highly respected local gunsmith!!He aked about how i was cleaning them and so on!!After i told everything i did when cleaning my rifles we decided to look at my safe!!Well i own a cannon safe and have the dehumidifier for safes and all!!We looked at all my guns which i have alot of stainless rifles/pistols and no other ones were doing it!!So we didn't know what to think!!I guess we just left it at that and i hoped it didn't get worse!!Of course we tried everything to get it to come off!!I noticed the same area was getting a little worse everytime i looked at it!!Then as i was taking one last chance at an out of town gunsmith i noticed it was spreading all over the stainless!!After some investigating i learned i was not the only one with this problem!!I seen three pro hunters that day that did the same thing!I called TC and they agreed for me to ship it to them and see if it could be fixed and if not they will replace it!!Has anyone else had this problem??Or has anyone ever delt with them??What should i expect?? BowtechTurkeyHunter
No rust issues that I have ever seen with any TC .... but I have a first hand account of there customer service and its fantastic they will not let you down ... was it surface rust or was it pitting in spots? Was this a rifle or Muzzle loader? Steve
mailmanmark
corrosion A couple of years ago I remember seeing the same thing on some of their stainless muzzleloaders. As I recall, TC replaced the barrels for the people that sent them back. Good luck.

Steve It's a rifle with the kathadin barrel45-70!!It's stainless and camo stock!!The rust started as surface atleast thats what we thought!!The gunsmith i was working with gave me some tips about how to try to get it off but nothing worked!!So i kept my eye on it and it just kept spreading!!Then the day i went to ship it out i was at our trading post and she(the owner)had a encore in there on consingment that was doing the same thing!! EKYhunter
Yeah, let us know what kind of customer service experience you have. I've never had to have anything done to my Encore but I've heard nothing but good things about TC's customer service.
