MCH
Gotta give Oklahoma State some props. Went into Mizzou and came out with a tough win. Should propel them to their first top 10 ranking in a long while. I knew with the Boone Pickens gift that the Cowboys would be more competitive, I just didn't think they'd come so far, so soon. Still not a top 5 team, but we're on the move. Go Pokes!!!!
Tominator
Yep. That was a good game.
dogdoc
what a game---exiting up to the very end. I had fears of the punt being blocked. A great game and our defense finally showed up and played big time. I hope we can keep the momentum going b/c the schedule doesn't get easy! buckbuster11
That was definately a big win, I didn't see that one coming. I thought Missouri would win that by double digits. The Big 12 is loaded this year.
The_Kat
I was super excited to see OSU win. I never doubted they would win this one. I'm more worried about texas and Ou....I think mizz is way overrated this year. OSU is for reals this year. I would love to see em in the big 12 championship! muggs
Yep. Can't argue with that. Actually, you can. Oklahoma State Football: 476-488-37 All-time win-loss record (that's a history of losing if you're scoring at home) . Big 12 Conference Titles= 0 National Championships= 1 Heisman winners= 1 and the winner is.... THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL PROGRAM (aka "Home of the Heisman"): 803-304-53 All-time win-loss record. Big Ten Conference Titles= 32 National Championships= 7 (most recent 2002). Heisman Trophy winners= 7 including the only two-time winner Archie Griffin.

Ohio State are the Buckeyes. BTW--in all of your research, did you find any stats that include all national titles?? Not just football??? muggs
BTW--in all of your research, did you find any stats that include all national titles?? Not just football??? Kev, didn't mean to touch this big of a nerve. Yes, I went to Kent State, but I was swaddled in Scarlet and Grey (only when my Orange and Brown swaddleling clothes were soiled) since birth, bud. You all can blaim my die hard dad for my annoyance on these forums. My research has concluded that Ohio State University owns 57 Division I National Titles, compared to 44 for Oklahoma State. MCH
It's easy to strike a nerve when you're talking about sports teams. Anyway, maybe my numbers are incorrect. OSU always touts the 4th most championships by any school(48). I just looked up on google and it shows that as correct. Didn't even see Ohio State in the top 10???? muggs
You are correct. Here's where I went wrong. Just found this: I'll take the 7 football titles over 1 anyday though. That's the only college sport that matters except during the month of March.:D "Ohio State has 57 total college national titles.[9] Of these, 22 are NCAA championships.[10]"
The_Kat
I didn't know OSU had ever won a football national title?
MCH
They were Oklahoma A&M when they won the title. Back in the early days.
