Guest IllinoisMackDaddyHunter
Dont know about you guys ,this weather is crazy. Just when we had a few cool days and the deer were moving, with a flip of a switch its 85 and the deer have vanished til dark. Not even going out this afternoon. Moved a stand this late morning and a cold front and rain headed our way here in Illinois. Cant complain, got a doe friday evening and still have alot of season left. The next few weeks is the big prep before the rut kicks off. Just using this time to move alittle closer to the Bucks. Good luck to all and stay safe. ildrhntr
Remember 2002. I was driving to my stand on October 2, 2002 and it was 90 degrees. We have been seeing a little movement here but I think most of the probelm is our crops are still in the field. Will be shotgun season before most of the crops are out around here. fly
Late harvest and hot weather. I'm not seeing the deer numbers either. Beans are being harvested now and corn in about 2 weeks where I hunt in Central/Eastern IL. Hopefully this cool front moving in Tuesday will help. Tominator
Yep, pretty tired of this hot weather. Of course, I shot my buck last night and it had to be in the 70's.
