Flintlock1776
I have some large property and I was thinking of one of the power lawn vacuums for my lawn tractor. Good points on The DR Power tow behind looks nice on dust containment; chipper attachment; steel teeth shredder for lawn/leaves. Bad point: it does not collapse like its competitor so it would take more space in my barn. Good points on The Cyclone Rake has a larger diameter and shorter vacuum tube; and folds up compactly. Bad point: It is a fabric cover so it looks like a lot of dust can be expended. Has anyone used these and what would you recommend? Thanks! Flintlock1776
I like the DR i have had a couple of there products and liked them all very much. Also I like the mulcher better on the Dr then the cyclone. Thanks. Cyclone says their impeller can take hits for vacuumed rocks better than the 'other brands'. I like to DR but I also ordered the Cyclone DVD to cmapare them both. How is backing up with DR? Cyclone says theirs is very easy but DR does not state anything. At a few thousand $$$ for either brand I want to make sure I get the right one.
98chevy
It backs up fine I mean backing up anything 5 ft long is not fun but not impossible
Flintlock1776
It backs up fine I mean backing up anything 5 ft long is not fun but not impossible OK seems the other one does not react like a normal tractor trailer would. DVD's should be here soon and maybe then I can make up my mind. Anyone else out thhere have any thoughts on this topic? Thanks.
Flintlock1776
It backs up fine I mean backing up anything 5 ft long is not fun but not impossible I ordered the Cyclone Rake. The collapsible feature and the augers they used was the main reason. I'll let you know how it works out.
Flintlock1776
It backs up fine I mean backing up anything 5 ft long is not fun but not impossible I bought the Cyclone Rake in lieu of the DR version. main reasons were (not in any one order): Can fold and hang it on the wall in the barn when done so less space taken up than the DR The material the bagger is made out of is stronger than any bagger I have seen on regular mowers The impellers will flex a bit if you lift a small rock up into the system, the DR could damage the steel impeller They way it attaches will allow the trailer to stay in line with the tractor which is very important if you have to back up The price was close if not the same for CR and DR I got the stronger vacuum hose which is also shorter then the DR allowing more suction
