Rem308
I wanted to post a few pictures of my Ruger Super Blackhawk now that I've made a few changes getting her ready for this deer season. I added the Hogue grips and an Uncle Mike's sidekick holster. I really like the grips, shooting it is more comfortable for me now. It doesn't roll like the standard grips do, and I am not sure how I feel about this. But, bottom line is that I like how it shoots and feels with this grip on it more than without. Looks wise, there is nothing like those original grips, and I'm sure after season they'll go back on it. The holster is real nice though, I like the looks of the camo too. m gardner
The grips were a good choice. The finger grooves put your hand in the exact same spot every time which helps accuracy. The only problem with them is that the pistol will still roll which makes the skin on my hand sore when I shoot heavy loads for long periods of time because the rubber grips your skin. maytom
I use to own the very same gun and made the switch back to the original grips, mainly it felt much better in my hands. That SBH is a real knuckle buster with certain loads. I made the mistake in taking it deer hunting as my main weapon one season many years ago. Long story short, I did get my buck, but at the expense of lost hearing for three days!!!!!! NO more pistols for deer hunting for this guy!! I've since sold that gun long ago and went back to a shotgun and rifle. Now for target shooting, when you wear ear muffs!!!!, mine was a real shooter.
