Tominator
So is this guy taking Bruno's place or you got another spot picked out for him? lol.:D:D Thinking I'll swap Bruno for the '08 buck, and put the '96 buck next to Bruno. Thinking of mounting the 2000 buck and the 2005 buck to get a "Wall of Fame" like my buddy Tom has. With any luck, we'll be in the new house by then. Tominator
Verrrry nice Chris one to be very proud of! Any green score yet? I was too keyed up to do that last night. Tom wanted to, but I had to get it to the processor by 10 o'clock. I got there at 10:07. way to go tom. More points for us wooohoo. Don't tell me you shot all of the monsters in ohio i still need one. lol:( There's one left I think, but I think Tom's going to shoot that one in November. That deer must have migrated into Ohio from Iowa or Illinois. Pennsylvania actually, I think. Right off the Strut ranch. Gary Ault's a genius! WOW!!! He is a dandy! Sure hope you had help dragging that horse out and getting it into the truck. Congrats!! Yep, funny story there. I told my son to run and get the tractor with some tie down straps. He came back with my broken little dump cart. Kid's a straight 4.543 GPA, but lacks a lot of common sense. I had my other son run and get the tie downs and we hauled him out with that. Really have to give props to my buddy Tom. For some reason he dug right in and got the heart and lungs out, along with the rest of my arrow. I was going to wait until we got a little better light, but he just wanted to get bloody I guess. You guys are soooooooo lucky. You don't see deer like that around here. Neither do we. I've never seen a deer this big in Ohio. Is he your biggest? Nope. Bruno is still bigger I think. Bruno grosses 152, nets 141 7/8. By the way, that is a great looking bow as well. Where did you get that? Let's just say I think about you everytime I hit that kisser Scott. Thanks Chris...I showed the Wife(Linda) these pics after she got home from working second shift at an urgent care facility last night. She said: "I like that kind of rack...Get me one" I owe you bigtime now;)...LOL Well, there's one left in Ohio Gary. Come on down. Ohio tags are still OTC, and this guy's big brother is still out there as far as I know. Better get him out of the gene pool.............:D You know, that's what I thought Jim. I saw that 9th point and said, "man, we don't need those genes around here, better shoot him..." Great story, Chris! Being there for any amount of time can certainly pay off. You have to be there.... Great buck! Tough to shoot them on the couch.

How far from where you showed me where you had a ground blind setup was the shot on this deer? Don't remember any trees big enough for a ladder stand where your pines were at. Nope. Bruno is still bigger I think. Bruno grosses 152, nets 141 7/8. What do you think this buck scores? You already tape him? Guessing he grosses is in the upper 140's. toddyboman
GREAT BUCK Chris!!! You deserved him Awesome story For the record I think he will score pretty close to ol bruno Congrats again

Tominator
That is cool Chris. How far from where you showed me where you had a ground blind setup was the shot on this deer? Don't remember any trees big enough for a ladder stand where your pines were at. As you're walking back, the trees you and I walked are on the left. My stand is in the back right, or southeast corner. I was actually going to put the stand in an oak tree back there, but noticed the one pine tree was marginally big enough so that's what I went with. What do you think this buck scores? You already tape him? Guessing he grosses is in the upper 140's. I honestly don't know. I don't want to say 140 then be disappointed. I'll tell you this, I stretched my hand across the G-2's and 3's and on 2 of them they were right at 9", with 2 of them about an inch longer than my hand. I can get my hand around the bases and other circumferences, but not by much. He's a clean 9 pt, so the unopposed G-4 on the right will hurt his net. We guessed he's around 18" inside. Tominator
For the record I think he will score pretty close to ol bruno Camera angles are deceptive. I held him out a little, and Tom's good with the camera.

I was actually going to put the stand in an oak tree back there, but noticed the one pine tree was marginally big enough so that's what I went with. OK, gotcha I think. Best as I recall there was corn in the year we were there and the corn was on the left side and wrapped around back behind you. Camera angles are deceptive. I held him out a little, and Tom's good with the camera. If he is only 18 inches inside and has 9 inch tines, then that is some really deceptive photography Chris.:D Looked to me from the pics like the deer was 20+inches inside and the tines with the exception of the g-4 looked to be 10 inches. Really good mass too. At any rate a monster in my eyes, and taken in the backyard to boot. Congratulations again bud.

Tominator
OK, gotcha I think. Best as I recall there was corn in the year we were there and the corn was on the left side and wrapped around back behind you. As always, great memory. Yep, it's corn again this year, and that's where he came from, the stuff that wraps around my property. If he is only 18 inches inside and has 9 inch tines, then that is some really deceptive photography Chris.:D Looked to me from the pics like the deer was 20+inches inside and the tines with the exception of the g-4 looked to be 10 inches. Really good mass too. Mass I'll give you, he has mass for sure. Look at his ears in the pics. I don't think he's 20 inside like Bruno. I laid an arrow between the main beams and there was 8 or 9 inches left, and I know my arrows are 27 1/4". G-2's and 3"s are around 9" and 10". Shooter in my book.
