fly
I've got a nice spot I'd like to set up a stand on but the only decent tree is too wide for a climber and since it's on the side of a hill and the deer are on top of the hill I need to get up real high. I was thinnking about setting up 6 rapid rails to get up 30 feet. Anyone use these? Wally World has them for 60 bucks for three. Any other suggestions? The tree has a couple large branches at about 10 and 15 feet.
wtnhunt
Have not tried them yet, but probably going to pick up some of the wal mart sticks to extend one of our stands a bit higher.

Stickslinger
I have both the Alum and steel versions, they work great. The only problem that I have with them is that when I put up 4 or 5 sections I have to climb back down to the ground to pick up the sections and then climb back up. I have tied rope to the sections to pull them up without going back down the tree but I always seem to bang the sections togethor or against the tree. Other than that, no problems. Illinois59
Watch out for using limbs. Make sure that they are very sturdy. Good luck.
