Guest zach90
If you are looking into a semi-auto I would highly recommend the browning Gold. If you want to spend a little more go with the winchester SX3. If a semi auto isn't what you want go with the Browning BPS. This is a pump that is well worth the money. One of the best out there. I have had brownings and winchetsers all my life and can't complain about any of them.
Hoosierbuck
Dave-I could put you in touch with a buddy who is selling a Nice looking Rem. 1100 for $400 plus shipping to an FFL for an out of stater. (Indiana) HB
DocMort
Go with the 1100, or if you want a little heavier gun the 1187 all depends on what your going to hunt. As far as a pump goes that is a no brainer $300 gets you an 870 probably the best pump gone ever built.

Eric
Go with a Remington 1100 or an 870 pump. 1187's are OK but I would recommend 1100 over them hands down. I have both but use my 870 most of the time as it is a workhorse.
EKYhunter
Can't go wrong with Browning or Remington. It's really a Ford Vs. Chevy issue. Shoulder as many as you can and then make your decision. I do believe that both companies are currently offering rebates.
bluelund79
Some real quality used Remingtons, Brownings, Wichester SX2's in that price range. Traded my 935 for an 1187 on Monday....Already has a pheasant on the ground, and some duck/goose trips this week planned. You'll have some fun looking, that is for sure!
