Hey no problem outdoorsmen1, I'm just glad to get a few on the board. I focus primarily on deer season, but have had the opprotunity ot do a few quick hunts here and there. A great friend of mine has invited me over to his place after work a few times for a little squirrel hunting, so I've taken him up on it...I normally do my squirrel hunting after the new year when bow season goes out.

Yesterday after work I stopped in and only saw one squirrel...but he was a good one!

My 22 WMR hit home and he just rolled over. I reallized after looking at the pics that I didn't quite flatten the tail out for the best pic...he may only qualify for 10" or 10.5", but either way I'm proud of him.

Good luck to all and hunt safe!

Yep, I started squirrel hunting again last year (hadn't squirrel hunted since I was a kid!) and now I'm hooked again. It's just a TON of fun, really enjoy it.

I am interested in black powder hunting for squirrels...but I don't know much. I'll have to do some Google searches on the subject. I am going Muzzleloader hunting tomorrow, but using the .50 caliber for deer. But...if the deer hunting is slow, I am going to have my .22 pistol in the truck, and I can always put up the ML and try to take a few squirrels.
