ChasinTail
I have been using the new G5 Tekans so far this year and have killed 2 and found 1. Both were textbook shots but didn't leave much blood. I went out yesterday to BPS and bought some Rage 2s. It seems every success story I see on here is with the Rage 2s so I figured its time to try em' out. I still feel the Tekans are just fine, but for confidence I need to change. Hopefully I made the right decision. The proshop guy still backs the Tekans 100% but I cant argue with all the success I have seen on these forums! Gator
Hmmm, I shot the Tekans, 1 deer shot, 1 deer recovered. IMO they are probably the best built mechanical there is, I love the ferrule design on them
NY_Bowhunter14
although i had heard wonders about Rage 2... i can't bring myself to use a expandable... Muzzys all the way!
KirkV
Yeah Tom to each their own, I shot Muzzy's for years but the point of impact was different than my field tip by a couple of inches. This is not much on a deer but huge on a turkey. The Rage is dead on with my field tips and man are the turkey's in troubl this year LOL. Good luck with the Rage I thingk you will like seeing your deer fall down in sight of your stand. Kirk

If for some reason I decide to... it will be to Rage though.
Guest tmrltree
Seems like no matter what Forum I go to I hear about the Rage. I am a Muzzy man, but will look into the Rages come Spring time, to see what all the hype is about. The exit holes I am seeing look good, but I will be getting back to late this season to risk using a Broadhead I am not use to.
m gardner
I always liked 3 or more blades on my broadheads. The wound can close with a 2 blade head and you get no blood trail. With a 3 blade or 4 blade the wound can't close up and the bleeding won't stop. That's why when you learn to fight with a knife you always twist the blade before pulling it out. Here's the entrance hole from an NAP Shockwave. It's a three blade mechanical and has worked for years.Mark
Guest BusterBoy
I have G5 practice broadheads but I love the NAP Hellrazors . Never tried the Rage though .

Same hear but i use montecs,, haven't had a deer go more than 120 yards and have shot 6 bucks in the last three years with them...
MichiganHunter
you going to LOVE YOU them rage wait till you hit a deer and the blood trail looks more like a blood highway
Hardwood_HD
they swayed me to! i bought the rage 2 blade to try out, havent got to shoot a deer with em yet but i did get a groundhog with it and it worked great on him!
hyperflow
i switched to the rage 3 blades, Shot my biggest buck of my life last weekend with them and he didn;t do more then 40 yards. Blood trail wasn;t as much as i seen with the wasp SST but they did the job. Tracking wasn;t hard
ChasinTail
I haven't had a shot at anything yet with the Rage 2's but felt a little more confident tonight when the light was fading knowing that I would have a good blood trail if a last minute shot offered itself. Straight Shooter
Staying with my Muzzy's, only time they have failed me is when I made a bad shot as with any broadhead. JMHO;)
layin on the smackdown
I shoot montec's...heard a lot of hype about the rage, but i lost a heck of an 8 pointer 4 years ago due to an expandable not expanding and i went to the montecs. Can't bring myself to use anythign else...i know its closed minded, and maybe a little ignorant, but why fix something if its not broken? In retrospect, I can't argue with the holes ive seen those rage bh's make...I too havne't had anything go more than 60 yds with the montec's.
