JJL
I'VE GOT IT. . . . . . . . . It's God's way of telling you that you should come to Colorado in two weeks and hunt Elk with Me, Steve, Kathleen and Charlie. I am amazed that he had to go to such great lengths, but, He's the Boss. I sure would like to go on that hunt. I certainly would have the time. Unfortunately, God already committed me to a bow hunt in Illinois for whitetails that week.. I am thinking he has allowed me to spend a little more time there without having to rush back to work... Funny how this stuff works... ruttinbuc
Kevin, I have a trespass fee hunt in Brown county near Mt Sterling. I am also going to hook up with ildrhtr in Coles. A matter of verifying a date for the trespass hunt. Looks like the 1st week of November.
craig mack
I'm sorry to hear this. I was laid off for 4 months this year and it is brutal!!! I work for Chrysler and if GM buys us I will probably be out of a job all together. The economy is in the crapper right now and I dont think its gonna get better any time soon. I wish you the best of luck and I hope everything works out for the better.
Canuck2
Mike, that's the pits. Looks like the cutback to a 32 hour week was just the start. Got my fingers crossed for you that they get going full tilt again soon and you get recalled right away.
jbeck
Prayers with ya Mike, I'm in sales for a small custom kitchen company and I'm scrambling to keep work in here for the guys in the shop. I'm doing my best to make sure they don't have to go through what your going through right now. Hang in there bud.
Guest Brutal
I was in construction and took a lay-off earlier this year.. After a layoff every winter for past 4 years it finally sunk in this year.... I am now going to COLLEGE! 32 and going to college. Feels kind of weird but I am finally realizing that construction is a dead end road unless you are the owner. GL finding a new job or whatever career path you decide to endeavor. Tony
Mike im so sorry to hear this. you know what JJl said was right, a door for me closed, but a lot better one opened up. that was over a year and a half ago. when my plant i worked at for 13 years closed, it hit me hard, but i actually had a job lined up before the closing date. Steve B is right, there are a lot of jobs out there in certain areas. i looked hard at that mining place near Gillette. they are looking for maintenance techs, but i need a little more PLC experience. "yea Leo i remember what you and i talked about. lets say im working on it now." im praying for you that things get better. Mike if you need anything, dont hesitate to ask.
