huntersdaughter
I haven't hunted either area but I grew up in the Big Horns and have seen some wonderful game come out of there. Hope that helps. If you want, PM my dad, Steve Beilgard. He is an outfitter that can give you some good placed to go. All the best.
stevebeilgard
steve was an outfitter, not is. i've spent countless hours in the bighorns. frankly, i think your best bet for deer is the medecine bow area. less hunting pressure and more deer. Guest BuckGrunt
Thanks steve so you think that the medicine bow area would be the best area for us to hunt public land and see some mule deer ? any other info as to area to concentrate in that region would be helpful thanks again. What other area do you suggest?
stevebeilgard
i know mostly private land. there's a rancher east of wright, has 40,000 acres. pretty good deer, and some big ones. he charges 300 bucks each animal. he's booked the 1st few days of the season (me) then has lots of room. you can also combine it with an antelope. lots & lots of goats. or we can share the ranch.
