Canuck2
Hi Diana. I've been away from home and from the computer, and just got to read of this adventure. Way to go Jordan! Boy, doesn't the work just begin once the trigger is pulled on one of those things? As for you SteveK, can you please offer some explanation as to why the wolf isn't poised for a trip to the taxidermist. Diana, where roughly are they? My son, cousin, and I were supposed to be about 100 miles west of Williams Lake a couple weeks ago, but that trip unfortunately had to be cancelled. Swamphunter
Congrats to Jordan! Wow, I can't wait to see pics of the moose and the wolf! Hopefully will slip an arrow into a moose, that is a heck of a trophy for archery!
buckee
That's roughly the same area Steve's in right now....about 2 1/2 hrs west of Williams Lake. There were 8 guys staying at this same cabin right before our guys arrived and they left with 8 really nice mulies. So you picked a good spot there. Hopefully you can arrange a visit soon. buckee
OK guys...to answer the question of why there will be no wolf head on our wall (at least not today). This beauty was sadly just too far away for Steve to arrow it although he did try to call it in to him with (what else?) the moose call he had in his hand.He clarified that with " it was a cow moose call". I guess that makes a differnce. Bear with me...I'm new to some of this stuff! Mike kicked up another moose today...but no luck:( They all saw lots of mulies today too....but no bucks:( Jordan on the other hand had another adventure today. I don't think he'll want anyone to remember this one though. After his amazing success yesterday he decided to take the afternoon off from hunting. While everyone else was out beating the bushes he thought he'd take out the canoe and have a little fishing trip all by his lonesome, out on that beautiful placid lake. Well things didn't stay that way and a wicked wind whipped up and swept the canoe about a mile away from the cabin and then dumped him right in the freezing water. It would have been a little easier for him if he had actually put on the life jacket ...but he managed to swim to shore without it and walk back to camp. Right now some of the boys are out looking for the canoe, Jordan is trying to warm up and Steve is cooking that huge moose (turkey) heart for dinner. Wonder what Jordan is dreaming of tonight!! It's snowing up there right now but they are hoping for sunshine tomorrow. Steve thanks you all for your well wishes.

buckee
Another exciting day for Jordan today. He got a nice 2x2 mulie! Of course he's not allowed to hunt anymore on this trip for showing all these old timers up:o Steve says this little buck is as big as the biggest blacktail he's ever bagged. Jordan and his dad SteveM each found a moose antler today...both 2 pts on the brow coming off the same side. My Steve found 2 antlers too...one has 3pts on the brow and the other 2. The nice cold weather changed into strong winds and now rain and they're a little concerned about the meat getting too warm. They'll be hunting a different area tomorrow to see what they can scare up there. Have a good night everyone:) Diana

Born4it
Good luck on the rest of the trip! Take care of yourself, and I'm looking forward to hearing more about it! Congrats to Jordan on both trophies! It's also good to hear that he's doing ok after the canoe incident! Awesome job, Diana, on filling everyone in! I don't know Steve real well, but I've been on here since 02 and know that he's a pretty cool guy that a lot of people respect a great deal. Send him my regards :-) God bless, Ryan
