preacherman
Got a letter one and a half weeks ago that me and the wife were being audited by the IRS. When I got in there, the lady told me that some of the legal deductions that I took that everyone else takes were not going to be allowed because of us being in the ministry (I know this sounds odd, but that is what the lady said) and now we owe to the tune of $4311.00 to be paid in the next two weeks. Pray that God would open the door for us to earn the money somehow, someway. This is not good, especially seeing as to how that we don't make much money anyway! Thanks in advance, Scott

popgun
Re: Prayers for the preacherman! Go to: www.irs.gov/advocate They can set you up with a monthly payment plan. Just try to remember that if your congregation was to chip in and help you with this tax bill, that the help received will have to be counted as income for 2005. .....popgun
MadHuntinPastor
Re: Prayers for the preacherman! Hey bro! That doesn't seem to make sense. I hope your church has you set up for a housing allowance already. Big tax break for us that way. PM me with details. I would love to help make sense of it if I can. Maybe you can also enlighten me so I can avoid the same thing. God bless. Joel

I'm sure you know this but I wanted to share this verse with you: 1 Corinthians 10:13 ...And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

preacherman
Re: Prayers for the preacherman! You know, this is one of the reasons why that I always have enjoyed this site.............because when a brother is in need, this group of people stand together. When one hurts, we all hurt. When one needs help, we all help. Again, thanks for the prayers. I am just looking forward to watching God take care of this "little" problem!
