What would you want to see?

It all depends on who's video it is. I like to see Waddel hunt but also like to see him cut up, he's hilarious.

All in all, I think more of the hunt and tips. Less of the "staging" thing. I really don't like it when it looks like the hunt has been....I guess you can say, practiced.

I personally like those that include the "whole experience." The preparation before the hunt, during, and after. I learn more from watching pros prepare and setup their location than anything else. It gives me the opportunity to see the types of terrain they prefer as well as how to properly prepare a tree for hanging a stand. I think these are much more informative and enjoyable rather than just picking up the story while the hunter is already in the tree.

I like the whole experience. The Drury guys do a great job of showing pretty much everything leading up to the hunt and kill. I do so much work during the summer, and showing them doing the same work kind of keeps me motivated knowing that I'm not the only one and that my hard work might pay off one day.

As we all know, sitting in a tree is only about 10% of what hunting actually is!!

Roadtrips!! So far I think they have covered just about everything everyone has brought up. I like roadtrips because its not just camera on deer walks in shoot it deer runs off do a comment after the deer runs off turn camera off, camera turns on person is holding rack of trophy or head of trophy, person talks then done. Where in roadtrips you get to see everything, heck half the fun of watching the show isn't even watching the harvest, it's everything else that leads up to and ends with. I think Roadtrips should be nominated for a grammy hahaha!!!

A full blown hunting movie in a format that dovetails like a surf or ski flick. Jamming tunes, single narration of the scenes, challenges, exotic shots bordering art.....the work, blood and sweat involved with pulling off the hunt. Basically a hunting safari that documents everything top down, out takes of the scenes, people, locations and experiences at a "right now" level that puts you there.

It hasn't been done but one day it will be. A show that captures and captivates you...the experience beyond the kill. Things that are not filmed now......that breath taking sunrise, a stuck 4x4, an unexpected storm, the close encounters......living and breathing everything centered around the experience.

Check out Bruce Brown's stuff from years ago...Endless Summer comes to mind. Off the chain visual and audio..something that absolutely pumps you up and makes you want to tear through the door wearing camo with a care in the world....that's what I want to see.

I'd like to see more deer than just the ones they try to put a hole in too. You know the sighting ratio is more like 20 to 1 rather than 2 to 1.

Also the number one issue that burns me way more than the fake blood trails is...you're coming up on the moment of truth and you think they are about to pull off the shot...then they go to a 5 minute commercial break. When they return they catch you back up on some of the same video footage like you forgot where you were.

I agree with the commercial break thing but I dont know if it has as much to do with the actual show as it does the channel its being played on. I could be wrong but I think the shows producers gives the video to the outdoor channel and they edit in the commercial breaks and stuff like that because it seems like every show has the same "Outdoor Channel Name bar" that shows up when a new person comes on screen. I believe that the Outdoor Channel has more control over that than the actual show producers but again, I could be totally wrong. I dont know much about how the hunting shows work.
