Tink Posted October 22, 2008 Report Share Posted October 22, 2008 Friday Morning Carol AKA Texas Bow Goddess is going the the hospital for removal & replacement of three ruptured disc's in her neck & Spine. They willreplace them with strainless steel mesh. Doc is going in under her chin.Takes palce in San Antonio TX 10 day recovery in the middle of Bow season too! Ginger & Carol- Texas Twins different Moms=? Ginger is from Maynard TX as I recall? I am going to Hire Jessie & Ginger to teach Carol the finer Point of Competitive archery as he is hooked deep! Carol is OK The Operation Took 3 hours the doc did 3 today and her first as he is a BOWHUNTER and shoots a Mathews... The put in child's size stainless steel disc's made of Stainless steel wire mesh folded over to make it soft and spongy he is fine. Awake walking and drinking fluids tonight He doesn't do fusing any more as it never works out 100% and lots of trouble at time but this is newest tech. Thanks for all the Prayers I didn't do a thing & I am worn out.. Her Daughter is staying with her overnight TG Her Sister in Houston drove in to see her. She is going to her ranch tomorrow at noon. Sh will be laid up more or less for 10 days till the slash in her neck heals up. Tink Posted October 26, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 26, 2008 Goes Home Sunday Noon not SAT Well They are keeping the goddess another day because of her burping air bubbles They have to make sure her tummy is working a 24 hour cycle Also she has a very sore neck From where they put tubes down her throat so she could breathe. She can talk and ate Texas Style Chicken Fried Steak tonight. At 6 PM they took off her IV & Tubes so we can walk around freely with no IV Walker. Again thanks for yoru prayers PMs & Good Wishes. Tink Posted October 28, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 28, 2008 Carol is still in the hospital Carol was readmitted Monday with sever cramps 7 internal bleeding Was in ER 5 hours Than afternoon she had uncontrollable retching & spasms and was crying Doc have her a load of Demerol and knock her out. They prep her today for a Colonscopy and she came thru fine. no Cancer no bad polyps.. doc chewed her hard for not having enough fiber in her diet, When she got back from recovery she was spastic spacey and hallucinating so they asked her Mom & Sister to go home and let her sleep Her daughter is staying with her and has been there since Friday. Her neck operation & disc's replacement seem to have gone well. I only was allowed to see her for 5 min yesterday and they made us leave again Was not allowed intoday aas she is stressed our from two ops ina row and want to go home and sleep.
