From my left to right....the view from a treestand I hunted Wednsday afternoon. I missed taking my first Muzzleloader deer Monday...he was standing in the middle of pic #1(under the golden leaves) and I was 65 yds to the upper right on the other side.

(I added an Aerial Photo at the end so you can see the area from above)

In pic #1...Yes...those beaten down paths are Deer trails to the back of the cornfield:cool:

In this pic they hang out in the thick stuff along the creek before entering the cornfield in the evening.

First Deer With A Muzzleloader!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Todays hunt was in honor of Norm Sauceman...he already knows about it and has some backstraps on the way to Tennessee very soon! I took all the above pics yesterday with him in mind so when this happened today I had to call him first...it was like he was right there with me;)

Next time Norm dont sit on my left foot...dang thing went to sleep on me:D:D:D Stood up after the shot and almost fell over:o:D

Got my First Deer with a Muzzleloader!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Filled my DMP as a healthy 150-160# Doe tried to slip by the "Corner Store" around 50yds from the hastily made brush ground blind I had setup.

I decided to get on the ground this afternoon and piled up some brush with my back to the cornfield right next to a tree.

I was sitting on the left side of "Pic#3-the cornfields backdoor" right up against the thick green backcover.

She was walking on the right side of the small pond(pic#4-the corner store) just past the evergreen tree and next to that cutoff bush on the waters edge. The shot lifted her off her feet and when she landed her back legs were in the water..she never moved after that:cool:
