Texan_Til_I_Die
Check out this musical and pictorial tour of this amazing state. And yes, my little hometown of Gatesville made it into the song. http://www.youtube.com/swf/l.swf?swf=http%3A//s.ytimg.com/yt/swf/cps-vfl60807.swf&video_id=scjb_f95diA&rel=1&eurl=&iurl=http%3A//i4.ytimg.com/vi/scjb_f95diA/hqdefault.jpg&sk=crpBlOrSPAN5oTXwAr4Frh7PRiXiHYYRC&use_get_video_info=1&load_modules=1&hqt=

Dawg
Texas is a great state. I lived there my whole 27 years of life before moving to MS (boy was I in for a treat:D). I sure miss it there. I'll be back over there this weekend for some good ole Southeast Texas deer huntin'.
Guest GetTheBelt
Thanks for the plugs on the great state of Texas. Sure feels like home to me! One thing I like about TX is each region has its own feel to it: east TX, north Central, panhandle, far west, Trans Pecos, coastal bend, the Valley. I could write a page about each region! texastrophies
Texas is an Incredible State...............I spent a week there one day. Don't mind Jim, he is stuck in Colorado looking at views like this all the time. Seriously, while Texas may not have views like that, I think we hold our own in many categories. :D:D

hogwild63
For 15 years I hunted near Buffalo, Tx. It is on the edge of the piney woods of Texas. Last year I hunted in Menard, Tx. It is just west of the Hill Country. Last year, my brother-in-law and I were checking stands and looking around before the season. He motions me to be quiet and you could not hear anything except the breeze. No cars. No voices. We listened to absolutely nothing for about 2 minutes. I hope to hunt pronghorn in the flatland of the panhandle soon. Name the terrain, we have it. I love Texas!

wtnhunt
That is cool Mike. Have not spent any length of time in Texas since I was a kid, think my mother and I spent about two weeks with a friend of hers but I was too young to remember that. Have been through Texas several times and to Texas several times. Made a few trips on service calls into Texas when I lived in Bossier City LA too. Will never forget the trip my wife and I took to California to visit family after we got married, think we drove for more than a day across the state.
