Bar-b q sauce question.

Here's what I have.

Honey Barbecue Sauce

1 tb Vegetable oil

1/2 c Onion; minced

1 Cl Garlic; minced

1 8 oz tomato sauce

1/2 c Honey

2 tb Cider or sherry wine vinegar

2 tb Fresh parsley; minced

1 tb Worcestershire sauce

1/4 ts Pepper

1/8 ts Cayenne

Heat oil in medium skillet. Add onion and garlic and saute on medium high heat until onion is transparent. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 5 min. Remove from heat. Makes 1 cup.

Honey Barbecue Sauce

1 c Ketchup

1 ts Liquid smoke

1 ts Bar-B-Q spice

1 tb Vinegar

1 tb Prepared mustard

1/2 c Honey

1 ds Pepper; and garlic

Salt

1/4 c Water

Combine all ingredients. Simmer 5-10 minutes in saucepan or microwave 3-4 minutes in large glass measuring cup.

1/2 c Minced onion

1 Clove garlic; minced

1 tb Vegetable oil

1 cn Tomato sauce; (8oz.)

1/2 c Honey

2 tb Vinegar

2 tb Parsley; minced

1 tb Worcestershire sauce

1/4 ts Black pepper

1/8 ts Cayenne pepper

Saute onion and garlic in oil until softened. Add remaining ingredients and bring mixture to boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.

Honey Barbeque Sauce

1 cup ketchup

1 cup honey

1/4 cup coarse mustard

1/4 cup jalapeno chile pepper -- finely chopped

2 tablespoons rice vinegar -- (not seasoned)

1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce -- or to taste

3 tablespoons firmly packed light brown sugar

1 tablespoon curry powder

1 1/2 teaspoons sweet paprika

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

In a heavy saucepan stir together all ingredients and simmer, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes. (Sauce keeps, covered and chilled, 1 week.)

The combination of Kentucky Bourbon with honey makes a results in a fantastic barbecue sauce. The sort which has been used in the South for longer than people can remember.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup honey
  • 1 6 ounce can tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup jerk seasoning (optional)
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour before using. Or store in an air tight container in the refrigerator. Stir before using.
