GWSmith
Last year I started getting the Muzzleloader dialed in with alot of help from my best friend Dave and copies of Blue Elk's pages on how to get the setup right. I had never shot one before so I needed alot of help. Worked up the load 5 grains at a time and found what my rifle liked. I used Tompson Centers 240gr "Cheap Shot Sabots". I found my rifle liked 90gr of 2F with that bullet/sabot combo. I've been shooting sub 1" groups at 100yds at the range. Thanks to everyone for all the help and patience;) Today I Finally got'er Done! http://www.realtree.com/forums/showpost.php?p=961944&postcount=

Tominator
Sweet. That's great news Gary. I got real lucky with my Encore. Only took about 10 shots to figure out it likes 100 grains of Pyrodex and a 250 gr. Shockwave.
Ambuscher
My first deer came from a muzzleloader, some 29 yrs ago. The exact same gun took a nice little 10 ptr. just a couple of days ago. It's one of the old TC Hawkens.
