I also got a LEH muley doe to help fill the freezer. Had a great time hunting with family and friends. The wolf was a real highlight since my dad and my 8 yr old boy were with me at the time. An experience of a lifetime no doubt.

The muley buck was a blast too. Had 2 buddies with me and really hoped we could get them on it. The buck bedded out of sight and we split up and 5 mins later the buck jumped up out of his bed in front and I dropped him at 20 yards. I was great to have my friends with me to laugh and joke and take pics ect...

The whitey was a real relaxing solo hunt. Floated the river, watched the sunrise and killed the first buck I saw in less than 2 hours of hunting. These whitetails are extremely rare here so even catching a glimpse of a buck during the season is very special. It was an awesome canoe ride down the river with him out front. Made me feel like Voyageur. smile.gif

The cat was a great experience. Talk about a heart pounding flat out run following behind the dog. My bro was the houndsman and he did a great job. He was quite peeved at me when he saw how big the cat was on the ground. grin.gifgrin.gif I got a good laugh at him.

Was also in on several other animals that friends and family took.

Here's a pic of my dad's LEH bull moose. I was very proud of him for being able to accomplish this since his heartattack a couple hunting seasons ago.

My buddy's muley. He didn't have a lot of time to hunt this year and he came up looking for any legal 4 point buck. We found this buck in only a couple of hours.

Re: 04/05 Season Pics

Looks like more than an OK year to me BC. Looks more like a season to remember and tell you grandchildren about some day. wink.gif

This was one of my best ever.

I warmed up bagging 3 does during our October bow season. Saw 34 bucks while bowhunting in October too but not anything I wanted to kill.

During the 1st part of November I went with a friend of mine to Iowa to film his bowhunt. He lost a 150 class 5x5 that may still be alive which was a downer but bagged a nice 130 class 4x5 on the 5th afternoon. That was his 1st P&Y class buck. We saw 37 bucks during that hunt.

I then went to Kansas bowhunting and on the 2nd afternoon I bagged the buck of a lifetime for me. He's a B&C class 5x6 that I'll have officially scored real soon for B&C and P&Y. My buddy that went with me came home empty handed but he said it was one of his best hunts ever. He saw 5 shooters with the biggest being a 160 class 5x5 but too far for a shot.

Back at home again I bagged a 4x5 that is the best buck we killed at our hunting club so far this season. We still have till the end of the month before the season ends. So far I've seen another 27 bucks since early December at home including the one I killed down here. To top that off I killed 3 hogs too. wink.gif

My buddy in Iowa has been chasing a huge NT throughout the season. We talked a number of times about this buck and he sure anguished over worrying about getting a crack at him with his bow this year. He only bowhunts and videoed the buck several times during their gun season. You can't bowhunt during Iowa's gun season so he hunted with his video camera. He also has 2 years of pictures of the buck so there's a lot of history behind him. He's shared the whole experience with me along with some of his pictures but I promised to keep them to myself for now. On 12/30 he bagged him with his bow. His buck is a 230 class 10x9 that you will be reading about this year. I understand the story will be in North American Whitetail magazine.

Congrats on a fine season BC and thanks for sharing the pics and your season recap. Hope you have many more seasons like that to remember in the future. Oh, and keep those beautiful pictures of the northern country coming. wink.gif

Makes me want to move to BC and leave all these Dinky Dog Whiteys behind. grin.gif

Congrats bud, great season.

Tominator, They wont let us move out there.

For one...the mountains would have most of us in a cardiac care unit. crazy.gifgrin.gif

Secondly, The herd would get wiped out in such a short time that the Monster Hunters would have to come east to find anything to hunt...they probably couldnt do very well here.....they would have trouble seeing the deer being they are so small grin.gifgrin.gif

Thirdly, They are not stupid.....they live in God's country and own property...they arent selling anything tongue.gifgrin.gif
