Been having the time of my life hunting with my family this year. I haven't even had time to hunt for myself yet but it has been the best season of my life thus far. I've been guide, skinner and packer and I've been having a blast.

Here is the first kill of the fall, my 12 year old son, Cody's youth season muley buck.

Cody's youth season whitey doe finished up his deer season. He tagged all 3 during the first week of hunting.

A couple wolves my brother was able to kill that first week.

After we got Cody tagged out on deer, it was time to focus on his mountain goat tag. This hunt was by far one of the highlights of the season. Cody was able to get done on his first goat hunt what it took me 7 tags over 14 years to accomplish. Here are some pics of his first goat.

Here we are packing out the goat in our packs. Was a good grunt, but Cody trained all summer for it and he did just fine packin much of the deboned meat himself.

The next day we thought we were going to take it easy and just hunt some bush chickens, turned out we ran into this monster black bear and Cody hammered it. This is his second 6 foot plus bear in 2 years.

Next on the list was moose. Both Cody and my dad had Limited Entry tags for the same area. We were able to get my dad on a really good 44 inch bull. It died in an absolute hole. I had to skin and quarter and debone the bull and then we packed it out on our backs. Cody did 8 trips with over 50 lbs in his pack per trip. I was very impressed with his packing abilities. While Cody wasn't able to connect on a bull, he definately won't ever forget this hunt with his grandpa.

And here is the last critter of the season thus far, my dad's fall black bear. Another big un.

Now it's my turn to hunt. The freezer is full, so there is no pressure whatsoever. Will take an absolute toad of a muley for me to slip the safety off and pull the trigger. I'll probably eat tagsoup come the end of the season, but it will have been the best season I've ever had.

wow. what a hunt. i like the nanny best. what a super year for cody and your dad. now, get back to packin'... lol are you hunting upper b.c. coastline?

We're hunting south Central BC. It is also known as the Interior Wetbelt. The rainfall and terrain give it a very coastal feel even though we are a long long ways from the ocean.
