Guest dmsaudio
I have been searching for three days and can't seem to find anyone else who has had problems with the Lone Wolf Hand Climber. Right now I absolutely hate this stand...I want to love it, but hate it right now. I have API and Summit climbers and have had no problems with them. Bought the LW and I am not ashamed to say I am having a heck of a time climbing up the tree with it and an even harder time climbing down! What am I doing wrong? The other climbers I am up and down inside of 2 minutes...the LW, lets just say it is well into double digits time wise to climb up or down. I have watched the LW video a dozen times. I think I am used to the handles on the other climbers as leverage. Anyone that has the LW Hand Climber who has any suggestions, please let me know. Otherwise, I have a LW Hand Climber for sale! Thanks, Dave
ruttinbuc
The hand climber does take a bit of getting used to. You need to hold your hands to the back of the seat and use your forearms against the seat for leverage. Your feet need to be out through the sides and not under the bar. An easier fix would be to go to the Lone Wolf website and order the strap for the hand climber. This makes it a sit and climb. http://www.lonewolfstands.com/shoppingcart/Products/Hand-Climber-SitStrap__LWHCS.aspx
HUNTINGMAN
May just have to practice a bit more until you figure out the easyest way for you to use the stand, people do things differently and mayby you could find the way that is the most comfortable for you.I have a sit and climb and would not take nothing for it. Flintlock1776
All good tips. I had that issue with hand climbers years ago and switched to the sit/stand versions and love them.
HOYTnMUZZYboy
If you are still thinking about selling the LW let me know. I have one now but I'm looking to buy another one as my dad has fell in love with mine. PM if you are serious about selling it.
