Guest Brutal
I figured I would share my recipe and see how yall like yours! I still have about a full deer's worth in my freezer from last year so thinking of getting creative :D Here's my favorite: cut up about 2 lbs potato's in thin slices cut up 1-2 lbs venison in small chunks take 1 lb bacon and line bottom of pan (if like crispy bacon cook on the side and add later) throw in about 1 tsp minced garlic add in some butter as its cooking salt and pepper to taste maybe lil garlic salt if you love it garlicky like me if you cook bacon on side make sure to add a little of the bacon grease to the potato's This is a high calorie meal as I am sure you can see but it just melts your taste buds... Before I ran across this recipe from a buddy I just fried it up in butter and garlic. Anyone who I have over when I make this dish just loves it. My wife's sister even commands me to make extra so she can take some leftovers home!

Guest Brutal
I have never had it turn out dry on me. If anything it turns out a tad greasy from the bacon grease and butter. I forgot to mention I seer the veni cubes also b4 adding them in.

We have it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Guest Brutal
lol sorry I am so use to cooking it not very good with directions... I do this on stove top. 1. Seer the venison in some of the bacon grease in a sep pan while the potato's are cooking since they take longer. 2. Cook the potato's, onion, minced garlic, pepper, and garlic salt in a sep pan. my buddy layers his potato pan with bacon but I prefer my bacon crispy and lil less greasy so I cook bacon also while potato's are frying. 3. Make sure to add a little bacon grease to the potato's for flavoring if you cook bacon seperate. 4. When potato's are just about 5 min done to your liking mix everything togethor, cover it, and finish cooking the veni in it. I add a lil butter at this time too for some extra flavoring. We like ours really garlicky so we add garlic salt to it too. Last time I made it I added more minced and no garlic salt but just didn't taste the same. Salt and pepper to personal descretion. (as far as how much garlic salt we put in I pretty much just sprinkle over entire potato pan) Usually after mixing everything togethor I end up with 2 pans of it so I throw it all in the 1 skillet, then scoop half of it back into the veni pan and have them both finish cooking. We feed 4 off it and everyone eats till there too full to move :D Usually end up with leftovers and great for a quick nuked breakfast on the fly! It's basically like fried potato's but with the extra bacon taste and some good ol venison... Like I said b4 we eat it anytime of day but usually do it for dinner since it makes a large meal for cheap.
