Tim Andrus
Tonight , against my better judgement I went out in 30mph winds and sprinkles. My season since I got home has been busy So I knew I wouldnt kill anything sitting on the couch so here I was was rocking back and forth thinking I would rather be sitting on the couch. Nothing happened till the last 15 mins of the night when a doe and yearling came into the foodplot followed by a shooter buck and a few other deer. Well the buck offered me a shot , but with the wind I didnt want to try 40 yrds. But the others did! I filled one of my antlerless tags at 23 yrds. The G5 stricker did its job! So now I have some venison on the way. just got home from my buddies where I skinned it and will finish it up tomm. So a thought a bad day can turn to your favor! That buck will be there tommorow probaly a 130 ish 8pt

GWSmith
So that "Carnival Puke Ride" turned out OK the after all:D Excellent choice on taking a shot you could make in those conditions over a shot you maybe would make;)

Swamphunter
That buck will be there tommorow probaly a 130 ish 8pt If you are really into self torture, you should try hanging a trail camera on the tree just in front of your stand during the rut. I look at it this way Tim, deer have to eat...even on rainy days, and you can't kill em' from the couch! Well, most of us can't anyways....
