JakeN
I'm leasing around 200 acres. There are three main people on the lease all avid hunters. We made a max of six people the 3 primarys and 3 guests is this too many people to be hunting this amount of land on a semi regular basis? the land consists of about 50 acres of scrub brush and 50 of old feilds and about 100 of hardwoods. there is a 60 acre feild next door and about another 30 acres of feild on the other side. i am scared to death of stinkin the place up we just got in about 3 weeks before the season. and the last place we had turned into a mess. there is too much deer sign and we dont want to mess this place up. Just lookin for some input. The hunting schedual has been hunters 6 opening day(oct 15) morn and night hunts. oct 16- 5 morning oct 19- 1 night oct 23- 2 night oct 25- 3 morn oct 26- 1 morn oct 27- 1 night all hunters are religous about scent prevention and elemination. Thanks guys and gals.
backwoods07
I think you have just enough land to fit 6 hunters. We have 3-4 avid hunters on 220 acres (we only hunt about 140) and we still see and shoot plenty of deer (well, we see plenty of deer) However, we are hunting two different parts of the country, and your experience may differ a little. Maybe some New Yorkers can give you better advice.
jdavis
If you're all out there at once; I'd say it's too many. If not then you should be fine; I wouldn't want any more than that.
Guest Mark_85
I think that's good. As long as they all stay where they belong. But im not used to anything that big biggest im used to is 62 acres. On the 62 acres we usually hunt 3-4 people during bow season.

HUNTINGMAN
It would be kind of hard to keep from contaminateing the area wwith scent with that many people walking around.Looks like the deer would be more educated and go nocturnal sooner than normal.I am glad I dont have to worry about this,I have 360 acres all to my lonesome. Texan_Til_I_Die
That would make for pretty tight quarters, even for bowhunting. It seems to me like it would be difficult to get that many people into and out of their stands without spooking the deer. It would take some careful planning and cooperation.
