lungshooter
I am recovering from shoulder surgery (august 08) and have been told that I may not be able to pull my bow back with that arm anymore. Was wondering if anybody has had this same surgery (slap repair with reattached biceps muscle) and if they were able to return to bowhunting. Also I thought maybe switching to shooting left handed might be an option. Thanks in advance for any information.

fuzz1435
Had that surgery done in 05. Had to use a crossbow for 2 years. Had the surgery in OCT of 05 and still having minor rehab in 06 and was advised not to push it. I am currently, and happily:D, using a PSE with a 70lbs draw weight. It is possible to recover and with good rehab and your ability to rehab thru the PAIN!! DON'T rush back into your bow. Hunt with the crossbow and listen to your rehab expert and DO YOUR EXCERCISES AT HOME like they tell you 2. Best of luck!! FUZZ
jbeck
There is nothing wrong with getting the crossbow permit. I think they are tougher to shoot than a compound. The biggest thing here is to be out there this time of year enjoying Gods creation and don't rush the rehab. Good luck
