PA Buck down!

Hi folks, after much scouting and stand placement tweaking I finally managed to get this buck in front of me on October 21. He traveled all the way across a bean field that had turned brown. I was set up just outside of a bedding thicket about 100 yards away from standing corn. The wind was perfect. There was about 20 minutes of light left when I look up and here he comes right towards me at 40 yards. At 20 yards he turns broadside and starts walking through a small grove of trees. I yelled at him to make him stop and he halted in perfect position. All I could see was his torso. I put the pin on him and let the slick trick fly. I heard a whack and he took off at a medium gallop and stopped only 40 yards away. I kept willing him to drop but he just twitched his tail and walked into some brush. I snuck out of the woods and came back an hour and a half later with my buddy and some flashlights. Much to my joy AND relief we found him dead mere feet from where I saw him enter the brush. I was so pumped up that my buddy thought I was gonna have a heart attack. But that's what bowhunting is all about right?!:D
