Tominator
Woods quiet now. Tim had a lone doe stick around for a quite awhile. He's going to give it another hour then sneak out. Clint has a 140 class hanging around, but no shots yet.
toddyboman
It is very warm in the Mid-West right now.......But sounds like Tim is seeing some deer!
BowtechTurkeyHunter
Well just got off the phone with Tim and he had setup on the same field that Clint did last night and he had his buck decoy setup in the bean field and he had a 8 pointer buck charge his decoy 3 seperate times ... he was afraid he was going to knock the decoy over one of the times. The ponly way he could stop it was to snort wheeeze and it would stop. It was only a 120 122 inch deer and he scored it all three times it came in but its just not what he went to Kansas for he has 3 full days left. He said that if he would have had a camera he would have had some fantastic footage. he sounded pretty excited about his chances and he says the buck decoy is working real well to say the least. Tominator
Text from Tim this morning, 5:30 his time--"53 degrees, light south wind. Going back to pond set today." Tim went to the pond yesterday to trim out a shooting lane and saw a monster rub on a cedar tree, so he backed out and left it alone until this morning. "We'll see" was how he ended the that text then followed up with "due to tight quarters, won't be texting until I get out this morning." Good luck Tim. Steve Tim's a tough guy, he can handle a little wind and warm weather. Got my fingers crossed for him though. Persistence is key. Hang in there buddy. That big one will come in good time.
