wildthing
I am looking to buy a camera arm for my video camera so I can start filming my hunts. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good one?
Illinois59
I like the Primos model.
wildthing
I like the Primos model. I heard the Primos model is hard to deal with from a functional standpoint. Talked with a guy who took his back. Said the camera moved to much. Thoughts...

heathcoerracin
the primos makes a good one, so does gorilla. The gorilla one is cheaper, but the primos one is definently batter. The hunting show i work for owns both, and the primos is better. Although we dont use those for our real cameras, we do set our huntcams out on them, so they should hold the camera well. Plus the primos has a fluid head, which means its smoother than the gorilla
fly
I bought a rather cheap one from Cabela's for this year. I've used several times, but can't get a deer to come in with enough light, or they come too fast and I can't get it turned on and in position. It kinda stinks setting up all that stuff in the dark for morning hunts. I've gotten to where I just film on evening hunts. Mine is the pine ridge for about 35 bucks. It works fine for my needs. GWSmith
...It kinda stinks setting up all that stuff in the dark for morning hunts. I've gotten to where I just film on evening hunts. When I had a camera I used to carry the "Gorilla" camera arm I still have in the zippered bag that came from an old tubular fold-up chair. I'd just tie the pull ropes to the shoulder strap and hang that on a hook when It got up to me. Then I'd just unzip the bag and mount the camera arm without worrying about losing any parts or straps! After awhile I got a camo soft sided bow case and started using that to pull up my bow and the camera arm inside of it at the same time. The soft sided bow case makes a great seat cushion or winter leg covering too;)
Illinois59
Great tip on the soft sided bow case. I will have to try that this year.
