Anyway a wife of a Christian Bowhunter is urgently beseeching prayer on behalf of her husband who recently turned hi back on his faith & his family(wife & 5 small kids). It would be nice if bowhunters around the nation could unite in prayer for this family & if anyone can help me get that email posted PM me & I will foreward it to you. Thanks Lan Dear Christain Bow-hunters of America members, My name is Andrea Ricke. My husband Micah and I are bow-hunters up here in the beautiful north woods of Minnesota. I was raised in a non-Christian, non-hunting home. It was my husband who introduced me both to my savior and the outdoor lifestyle. We have been married thirteen years and have been blessed with five children. They all participate in outdoor activities with us like hunting, fishing, and archery. Bow-hunting is my husband’s passion. He defended your organization a few years ago on an anti-hunting website. I attached his writing to this e-mail in case you are interested in reading what he wrote. He took a stand for Christ and a godly lifestyle that includes hunting back in 2005 when he wrote that message, unfortunately however, since then he has chosen to walk away from both. Last October he walked away from God, our marriage and our home. He has requested a divorce and is living a lifestyle contrary to everything he once believed. It has left me and the children shocked and devastated. It has been a full year now since our home was broken in two. He has not yet filed for divorce but we are separated. I am praying fervently against divorce, and know it is by the grace of God that we are still legally married. I believe this is a spiritual battle. Satan is trying to break up our family. But I intend to fight him with all I got, which is why I am writing to all of you. I know there is a spiritual tug-of-war taking place in the heavenly realm for my husband’s soul right now. I have been tugging on God’s side with all my might this past year, but I am growing weak and weary. To encourage me to hang in there, a friend of ours reminded me of all my husband wrote defending your organization. Those beliefs are still in his heart and mind, they are just being smoldered by Satan’s lies right now. Thinking about it, prompted me to check out the website to try to submit a prayer request on his behalf. Since there is not a place to do so, I thought of sending this personal letter to all of you instead. I spend most of my time in the deer stand talking to my Lord, and praying on behalf of others. I thought with the hunting season upon us, my family would benefit from the prayers of other hunters as they sit in God’s beautiful outdoors this fall. Please, come along beside me as I tug on the spiritual-rope to pull my husband back to the Lord’s side. Just thought I would send a photo of our family so you all would know who you are praying for. Please help me preserve one of God’s greatest creations: the family. By praying for this one family you will be taking a stand against Satan’s plan to destroy it. Many non-Christians in our family are watching our marriage, some of them think I am crazy to trust God to heal it. I have faith in the power of prayer. Help me prove to all those watching, including my children, that the God of the Bible is the one true great and powerful God who hears prayers and answers them. God can save, heal and redeem.
