Flintlock1776
At 6:25pm two big does, four little deer and about at the end of this little parade, a big body 6 pointer even wider than the one I got last week. Not a thick rack but nice. Just as I was getting ready with the bow down the driveway comes my kid's buddy in his car. Off goes the buck before I had a chance to draw down on him. Interesting to note the buck was feeding behind the does and they did not seem pushed by the buck. I figure in 10 days the rut will be on! Hopefully, this buck or his bigger brother will get in my way!
njbowhntr
I was hunting up the road from you tonight on Bunnvale Rd. I noticed the bucks there were just following does, but not pushing them hard yet. But in Pittstown, the bucks are pushing the does hard over there. It is strange. I also figured rut for 11/11 so I will give it a go on Saturday and Monday-Tuesday. Too bad we can't hunt here on Sundays:mad:

Flintlock1776
seeing lots of doe but no Bucks!! Seeing them less on Cam pictures also even at night. On my place yesterday the does and young ones were walking calmly in line and about 20 yards behind them is Mr Big 6 prt. Kids came down the driveway and spooked them all off. Nice 6pt wide but thin rack but if I wait a few days I think the really big guys will be out. Can't wait!!!!
njbowhntr
I was out on election day on Bunnvale Road. I had a few bucks walking around. They were checking does, but not really chasing hard. Will see what the happens saturday am before rain starts and on Veterans day.

njbowhntr
He is a good looking buck. And we are not very far apart. My dad has seen a good high racked, and heavy, 8 ptr cruising. He had him under his stand in September, but no doe yet. Good luck on Saturday.
