So, it's been about 8 1/2 months since I posted, so I figured I'd check in since I have some free time.

Things have been crazy here, so I'll give a bit of a run-down.

You may remember that before I left, I had recently broken things off with my fiance after the great betrayal from her. That put me into a funk for a while but I'm over that now.

I was in college and after doing that for a while I decided it was painfully boring (not just the school part, but what I was studying as well), so I pulled back and sought out another path. I went back to what I always liked since I was a kid- construction. I think I may have been the first person in school history to drop out after 3 consecutive quarters on the Dean's List. :o

But, this time, instead of working for some little mom and pop operation, I put my politics aside and joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and I'm currently going through the apprenticeship program. I'm glad I made this move. I have a secure future and I enjoy the work. I spent 3 months working at the Emory Yerkes Primate Research Center on a new Administration and Veterinary Medicine building, Which, if you know me, made me happy because everyday I got to see monkeys. But starting tomorrow I move over to The Center for Disease Control at Emory University. I went by there today to make sure I know exactly where it is and I'll be working on a nice big 10 story building with a beautiful view of Atlanta's skyline. I can't wait.

I haven't had much time for hunting this year, but I hope to get out soon.

I see some old familiar faces that had been MIA, most notably my old pal GW. Welcome back, Gary. :)

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have about 5000 old posts to dig through.

Steven I work as a instrument electrician and have for almost 30 years. I too was bored to death with college and dropped it as well. I have never looked back! A good skilled trade cannot be beat in my opinion!

I can get a job almost anywhere across the USA!

Have fun, Kirk:D

Welcome back ol' buddy! I've been wondering where you've been! Glad to see you at least pop your head in, and that you're doing something that you enjoy! I don't care who you are, I'd take a poor paying job that I love WAY before making a killing doing something that I hate. Good luck, and God bless!
