Not sure about Northern Outfitters, but whatever you get get many layers and get so mouch you think you will be too warm. You can't predict the weather, but Canada gets dang cold in november. Nothing ruins a hunt faster than being cold. Make sure you have good warm boots, mitts, and hat in particular, not just a warm jacket and pants. Arctic Shield is good stuff, but i am sure ther are other good brands out there.

Re: Cold Weather Clothing

You do get what you pay for, although I have stand hunted and found that you must layer properly, and use fleece, polypropelene, and cover your head, hands and feet with extra care...this means using hand warmers, foot warmers, holofil boot covers, and extra kidney warmers, all of which can be purchased from Cabela's good luck and who are you hunting with???

Re: Cold Weather Clothing

Well, theres always the obvious. Heavy coat, hand/foot warmers, fleece. But I use a product called Underarmour. It wicks away sweat from the skin, which in turn helps you forget about overdressing. I love it in the spring when I go looking for sheds, because i always overdress, and with underarmour, you dont have to worry about the (post-sweat-freeze-stage).

Re: Cold Weather Clothing

I wear a relatively cheap suit made by Mossy Oak I bought at Wal-Mart(Insulated reversable,camo-blaze orange). I wear this bib and parka, with fold back mits(magnets instead of velcro), an insulated camo hat, and my most important thing is good boots. All my life I have hunted right through December and it gets COLD, a green pair of Kamik boots with insulated soles fit every single need. These boots are very common. On my way into the stand, I have EVERYTHING undone or off, when I get up, I wait a minute until I feel a chill then zip up and put on. Perfect.
