TripleBeard
Longest beard Longest beard here was 11.5" down in Missouri Ozarks. This isn't uncommon though. Average range probably is around 9-11". Always GO for the big'ns

elnor
My longest has been 11.5in (bird on the right): but for me, it has really gotten to be all about the spurs...this old boy had 10 7/8in beard, but it was really his 1 3/8in hooks that did it for me! Hoosier Hunter
My first turkey had a 10 1/2 inch beard, 33mm spurs, and weighed 20lbs 13 oz. Since it was my first and a nice one, we got it mounted. http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1CyTTB8bUA

Rhino
I have quite a few birds with beards over the 10" mark. My best was a double bearded old bird dragging a 10 3/4" and a 9" beard. Spur length impresses me more than beard length.
Guest turkeynutz64
who has taken over an 10 inch beard here At least one a year is the goal for us and has been for over 15yrs now. I got my last in Okla. 10 1/2" this past seaon. My best one was in Kansas 3 years back, 11 7/8" 11/2" spurs, weighed 27lbs. And been privy to seeing a group that had 4 toms with 14"+ in it. Just couldnt hunt em.

fly
I got one years ago that went a little over 10 inches. Recently I've settled for Jakes (3-4 inches). The IL. spring turkey season leaves a lot to be desired.
