This is the tragedy to the way McCain decided to run his race. Without regard to the issues and taking a low road of spreading untruths and rumors. Now you have people that actually believe this stuff. I feel sorry for these confused souls but they seem to fuel a unfounded hatred that is harmful to our society.

And I feel the same way about Obama, only difference is he doesn't mind telling untruths openly!

JMO.

Quite possibly the most outrageous and insulting thing I have every heard but I have heard it from more than one person. This is the tragedy to the way McCain decided to run his race. All a matter of opinion Ace. Everyone is entitled their perspective and opinion as are you. It has been pretty clear to some that Obama has been engaged in the very same type of thing that you claim McCain has.

To me voting records and what the candidates have said and done goes a lot further than what the media or some other source which may or may not credible does. I have posted links for you as well as others to non biased sources repeatedly in this room over the past several months and encouraged checking voting records, your choice whether to believe them or the sponsored sites you and some others have linked.

On the last part of your comment I put in bold there I could not agree more with you, and it is very sad we live in a world/society where the expectation that there may be riots in the event one candidate does not win speaks exactly to what you posted.

I think there may very well be riots in some cities/neighborhoods if Obama WINS or LOSES.

If he loses, certain people will riot because they're angry. If he wins, many of those same people will riot because....well, I guess because they just want an excuse to riot???

Yes everyone is entitled to an opinion...however, some of these opinions are so outrageous that they just become lunacy. To say that President Obama is a "terrorist inside man" come on....come with something more intelligent than that.

On the gun issues....President Obama has been clear on these issues. If you say that you think he is lying then I guess you will just have to wait and see how things play out b/c the Republican party has been run out of Washington tonight.

The republicans did lose and now we have a dictator ship with a terrorist at the for front. Noone has yet to prove that Obama is anything more than an excited yet eloquent liar. I will not show him respect with calling him president and I will not salute him when in uniform. It is idiotic that this country which has been run by christian values to some extent just put a non christian in office. Secondly how in the H+++ can someone who has never taken orders give orders to our military. I think something fishy went on JMHO. I wonder how many times mickey mouse and garfield voted. I wonder if his illegal aunt will be able to stay in the country.

Too late now, but have you even looked at his voting record Ace or checked his comments that have been made? You are correct that he has been clear and clearly not on the side of gun owners in this country. I have posted links for you, I would encourage you to check the facts from a non biased source rather than some Obama sponsored site.

Are you on crack? I've heard Obama say some of this stuff about concealed carry, assult weapons, handguns ect. Maybe people on your PETA websight will believe you.

I will still be hunting with my shotgun come next year and in four years. The sky is not falling. Take a deep breath and don't pull out your hair tommorow. Everything will be alright...I promise.

Ace, I would suggest you check out the diagnostic criteria for Narcissistic Personality in the DSM. You seem to think you are intellectually superior to us and should be recognized as such. Also, you quotes are stirred by hatred as well and are nothing but condescending. You "promise"? By what authority do you make that statement? What credentials do you possess that we should listen to you? I would like you to list them for us that we may be assured that you have "special" knowledge that Obama will do as you/he claims.

"the Republican party has been run out of Washington tonight". Really?!! That seems to me to be a comment that is made with a certain amount of relish and arrogance.

But then, you will probably find some way to turn this against me.

I agree that President-elect Obama (sorry, but George W. Bush is still President for two more months) has been clear on the issue of gun control.

Let's review his voting record from his U.S. Senate tenure.

SA4615 Voted for gun owners

S397 Voted against gun manufacturers (twice)

SA1615 Voted against gun owners

SA1620 Voted against gun manufacturers

SA1623 Voted against gun manufacturers

SA1626 Voted against gun owners

SA1644 Voted against gun manufacturers

And from his time in the Illinois Legislature

SB0604 Voted against concealed carry

SB-1963 Voted against allowing someone without an FOID to possess a gun while under direct supervision of someone with an FOID

SB-356 Voted for a poorly worded bill attempting to define "junk handguns"

SB-2163 Voted against lowering the age for an FOID from 21 to 18

SB-947 Voted for additional restrictions on gun shows

HB-1096 Did not vote on a bill to legalize handgun hunting for deer

HB-515 Voted against this bill which would require that gun owners be notified if a gun they owned was the subject of a records search

HB-2576 Voted for this bill which would limit handgun purchases to 1 per month

SB-2165 Voted against this bill that would prevent prosecution for self defense use of a firearm even if said use violated local laws

By my count, that's 15 votes against the 2nd Amendment, and 1 vote for.

So, looking at his voting record, I'd say that we have a very good basis to be concerned for our Constitutional right to bear arms.
