Could anyone link me to some warm boots, socks, gloves or inner layers for your body to keep warm?

This last weekend it was 20 degrees with 20mph winds. I had regular boots with 2 regular pairs of everyday socks, 1 pair of wool socks. I had to wear 5 layers of simple thin every day longsleeve shirts, a bigger sweatshirt and my fleece, with my orange jacket.

I wore a pair of sweatpants with jeans over them with my new orange bibs.

I really need some better clothing to stay warm... Basically newer modern things that work well.

Please, anyone link me to some good products?

Cabelas Icebreaker Boot Blankets

Believe it or not this tip came from David Blanton when I met him in Cincinnatti a few years ago. Like David my feet get cold in July. I have bought every expensive boot known to man to no avail. The product is called boot blankets by Ice Breakers, Cabela's only. Take Three 18 hour hot hands, and place them in each BB about 1/2 hour before going to your stand. Wear one pair of regualr socks. Slip your boots off in the stand and slide your sock feet in the BB. It is like having your feet over a register all day. David said he can sit from daylight till dark in Canada like this. I know I can sit all day. Definitely works, be careful not to stand on the hand warmers though, they will burn you. I usually like to position 2 of them in the toe area and one in the mid section off to the side. Here is the down side. They are a little noisy if you have to slide your feet on your platform, and they are not waterfproof. If you are careful though, they are absolutely the best option. Hope this helps. Take care and God Bless.

I always start of light then put layers on at the stand. My feet are the only thing that the cold bothers. I have tried arctic shield boot warmers with both good and bad days, It seemed what worked one day didn't the next. I started taking an army wool blanket and wrapping it around my boots. I also took one for my wife when she hunted on the ground. It helped keep the warmth in. I hope this helps. In OK in the late season the wind would blow from all directions at once it seemed. Happy hunting

like indiana hunter, I use the boot blankets. My feet freeze if it gets in the 50's. I have a pair of Artic Shield boot blankets, they are thin, I wear when the temps are upper 30's up. I have the big thick boot blankets that I wear when it is colder than that. Sometimes I leave my boots on, sometimes I take my boots off & just slip my feet in these boot blankets. I do not have cold feet anymore. These work great. Invest in windproof clothing, makes a world of diference. I have a camo rainsuit, made of soft material that is not noisy, when it is windy I put this on over my clothes & under my bibs. These make a huge difference. Most of the time I don't even have to put my heavy jacket on. This rainsuit is thin & you wouldn't think it would do much but it works great. Does not let wind thru. I have thought about investing in one of those bodysuits. Think they would work great. As far as my hands, just wear thin gloves & stick them inside my bibs. If ned to , put handwarmers in pockets to keep them warm. It is a pain packing all the stuff in I have to pack but when I get there & get in the tree I can sit comfortably all day. As somebody else said , wear as little as possible while walking to stand.

I just sat in subfreezing wind chills for a week and I was pretty much OK with underarmor cold gear, mid weight Xscent top and bottoms as the first layers. I then wore a light fleece coverall under a heavier coverall with thinsulate.

I wear mid weight Gates gloves that I team with a hand muff and heat packs. My boots are 1200 gram thinsulate rubber with which I wear a polartec (mysterioso) liner sock and then a wicking wool acrylic. My feet did get a bit chilly, but I need to replace the boots which are more than a few years old. Better yet buy those boot blankets...

Despite what people say about keeping feet warm the more thinsulate does not necessarily relate to warmer feet. In order for the boot not to be so big and blocky the thinsulate needs to be compressed in the boot. This takes away from the insulating properties of the thinsulate. Better socks and even Toastitoes heat pads for the soles of your socks are a better option.

~ HOT NEW PRODUCT ~

The Hot Volcano

Manufactured by Lucky's Tent Company

groundvolcano-3.jpg--Dealers Wanted--

NEVER GET COLD AGAIN After years of hunting in Canada, I found keeping warm on stand was my greatest challenge. I tried everything on the market to stay warm, but nothing worked! Finally, I decided to do something about it, and invented one of the hottest pieces of equipment a hunter can own... The Hot Volcano.

If you hunt from a ladder or tree stand, then you need The Hot Volcano. Quit throwing your money away on expensive boots and clothes that don't work. (Like I did!) When you invest in The Hot Volcano, you can hunt in comfort all day long no matter how cold it gets. (It also helps to eliminate human odor!)

The Hot Volcano takes only seconds to attach to your stand. Simply mount the silent 1500 BTU heater head assembly under your stand, slip on the sleeve, tie down the sides, and you're ready to hunt ... and don't worry about changing locations - you don't have to disassemble The Hot Volcano to move your stand.

The Hot Volcano is made of 12 oz. cotton, is 30" in diameter x 60" high, and comes with a pouch to hold a 1 lb. propane cylinder. No Open Flame!

This is the link to a warmer you!!!!! No kidding....:)
