backwoods07
Here is an awesome web page that tells you everything you need to know about the current polls. It gives you state by state analysis, voter breakdown by race, and a whole bunch of other tidbits of info. Check it out and try to keep this a neutral discussion so it can be kept in the lounge. I thought the breakdown by race was pretty interesting... http://news.yahoo.com/election/2008/dashboard
Texan_Til_I_Die
As the old cliche goes, the only poll that really matters is the one taken today. But for the sake of discussion, I think they have it wrong in Florida and Virginia. Both of those states will go for McCain. The key is what will Pennsylvania and Ohio do? McCain must win both, Obama just needs one. Here's another prediction from me. IF McCain somehow pulls out an electoral victory, he'll still probably lose the popular vote by a substantial margin. At that point look for an all out assault on the Electoral College by Obama/Democratic attorneys to try to get the results changed in favor of the popular vote winner. Leo
In this election more than any other, the number of "unreturned" absentee ballots will be very suspect.

In this election more than any other, the number of "unreturned" absentee ballots will be very suspect. I read an article the other day about a town that had almost 5,000 fake ballots, and another article in which someone's cat got a ballot. It makes you wonder, especially when some states can be decided by as little as 5 thousand votes.

Think VA and FL will go in McCain's favor as well. Will be interesting for sure to see how things play out.
