dogdoc
going to be an interesting 4 years. Obama currently has 220 e-votes and with California not reporting yet which we know he will win that puts him over the top. All we can do is pray for 4 years---which will probably be 8! hammerforged
This will most definitely be the darkest day in the history of the United States of America. Life as we know it is now over. Welcome to the Socialist States of America.
NY_Bowhunter14
i'm trying to tell myself its all a bad dream, a horrible nightmare and when i wake up in the morning, the papers say... "McCain to be next President"

Does anyone realize we just elected a former muslim with terrorist group radical ties to the white house????????

crazylegz70
I will say that John McCain showed alot of character with his speech congratulating Barack Obama. Seriously tho guys, I really wanted to thank you for giving me something to base my decision on....
AceArcher
Yes it is unbelieveable. This is a great day in the history of our country I am sure Abe Lincoln and Martin Luthur King Jr. are looking down on our great nation and smiling. If you didn't have a chance to listen to McCain's consecion speech then you should look it up. This man has a lot of class and even though there was much mud slung from his camp he is now fully behind our next President.
hoosierhunter
To each his own right to make a educated decision on this election, but all you obama voters who failed to look at the facts about his past.......just wait....Your right we are in for a change my friends.......just not the change you thought you voted in............... crazylegz70
I called it 4 weeks ago and I heard nothing but jeers and sharp jabs about my decision and opinion. America has spoken my friends and America wants better than George W. Bush has to offer! Apparently 75% of America made the wrong decision according to you guys.....(for some reason I dont believe that)
ChasinTail
At least I know I voted based on pure issues rather than emotion, race, fanfair, free hand outs, empty vague promises, white guilt, or good old fasion "jump on the bandwagon" reasons! rhine16
Got a feeling this will be a pretty long post for me.... First of all, all you (though I'm still in shock that there was such a group), I hope you like it when guns and ammo are taxed times a million.... That is if we get to keep them. Yes it is unbelieveable. This is a great day in the history of our country I am sure Abe Lincoln and Martin Luthur King Jr. are looking down on our great nation and smiling. We'll see how "great" of a day you will think it is in a couple years. Greatness is only achieved with time... IMO this is the worst day in America since 9/11/01. I called it 4 weeks ago and I heard nothing but jeers and sharp jabs about my decision and opinion. America has spoken my friends and America wants better than George W. Bush has to offer! Apparently 75% of America made the wrong decision according to you guys.....(for some reason I dont believe that) Lance, first of all, you will find that the popular vote will not be over 55% Obama when it is all said and done. And it's closer than that right now. Wrong and right decisions are made by looking at the past. Foresight is blurry; however, hindsight is 20/20. This election had nothing to do with George W. Bush my friend. It was Obama vs McCain. IMO, Bush did as well as any could have possibly done under the circumstances that his 8 years presented him. I will say that John McCain showed alot of character with his speech congratulating Barack Obama. John McCain has laid his life on the line for this country.... did you expect anything less? I did not. We Republicans cannot get bent out of shape. The adversity must be dealt with.... BTW-McCain wasn't running for his name or race, he was running for his country. All we can do is pray for 4 years---which will probably be 8! I do not see a chance of Obama for an excess of 4 years. Give it two years, and that word "change" will have bitten us in the butt. Okay, I'm done replying to quotes. I watched with tears as McCain/Palin walked off stage tonight. I truly believe we are in trouble.... On a less serious side: I loved how NO one in the Democratic crowd knew "Only in America" by Brooks and Dunn when it was played. Everyone was looking around very awkwardly. Only laugh I've had all night... What will this look like in the history books centuries later? Johnson Nixon Ford Carter Reagan Bush Clinton Bush Obama :o:eek: Also, I believe that I might as well drop out of college and take a minimum wage job working about 20 hours a week. I mean, why not? Will there even be such a thing as the American Dream with Obama in office?! I pray that the Lord will help us fight through what I believe will be very rough times. Obviously as a bitter clinger, that is all I see that I can do.

nativetexan
Congrats boys!!!!! It clearly shows in that remark that you have the inability to be as classy as McCain. Pretty much speaks for the majority of those who voted for Obama. No character, whatsoever. Hope you get all the help you need from Uncle Sam.... OJR
I predict that Obama is going to make Jimmy Carter look real good! We had better take a good look and in 2 years, the Republicans had better take the Senate back or we are going to be real serious trouble! About the only good news on the night from my standpoint was that the dems/liberals did not get to the filibuster proof point. Will get worse before things get better, and voters are going to get what they deserved, I sure hope they like the changes because like them or not we are all going to be stuck with them. Certainly will be interesting to see how things play out. Some speculation that Obama will govern from a more centered position than from the left, given his history and record I see that as highly unlikely. Bush had a lot more dealt to him than any other American President. You really need to research O'bama's past and see that without a doubt, this new Muslim president we have has ties to domestic terrorisism through William Ayers. Read about his past when given the opportunity. Well, enjoy the ride..... each and every one of you that voted for him, and when we can't hunt because we can't possess firearms, we'll thank you, and you can thank yourself. When you can't afford ammo, firearms, because of the huge tax and we are giving more to the welfare that can help themselves but choose not too...maybe you will remember this so called great day in American history He IS NOT my President. Dawg
Not trying to turn this into a religous thread, but this election reminds me of a story in the Old Testament of the Bible. The people of Israel wanted a king. They begged and pleaded for a king. One who could bring change to them. They were disappointed with the way things were going, just like so many people claim today. Well, they got their king. Problem was he was/is the worst king that the people of Israel have had till this very day. I think the U.S.A. is headed down this very path. As in my post in the Lounge so I'll say here...... January 20, 2009 is the day the greatest nation on the face of the Earth will begin its downward spiral.

Hoosierbuck
As a nation we have been idling toward complete moral decay for quite some time. I think the next 4 years may be what is needed to slap us out of our ambivilent stupor and stir a revival. I hope so, otherwise I have no idea what God is thinking.
