Good grief people the man wouldn't even stand and join in on the Pledge of Allegiance or when the National Anthem was being played ...:confused::confused:

You have any sound evidence of this? And I don't mean an email which was forwarded to you.;)

I love how some of you are already talking about impeachment. He isn't even in office yet.:D

This is our system of Democracy. When the ballot doesn't swing your way, I guess it's a natural to be disappointed but asking for impeachment before the new President even takes office is a bit on the extreme side.

He's our new leader, like it or not, so let's allow him the opportunity to lead. To this point, he's proven himself to be a strong speaker, he's shown the ability to run an effective campaign which is more than we can say about McCain. The last 8 years have been pretty bad, let's hope things turn around regardless of whose in office.;)

No disrespect, Muggs...but I think you are incorrect with that statement. The foundation of any country is the laws that govern it. Christian society is based in Christian laws (remember the Ten Commandments?)...Muslim society is based in Islamic doctrine.

In the US we have this pesky thing called the First Amendment.;)

Sorry, I Just don't trust the man. Too many questions about his patriotism, inexperience, allegiance and gov't programs.

His wife's statement also... about "being proud of the United States for the 1st time in her adult life".

Birds of a feather flock together.

Hey...its all in Gods hands now...

The Supreme court appointments are really whats going to matter.

This is STILL the BEST place to live anywhere in the world.

God Bless America.

I understand that muggs...

But I also understand that you do not cut off the hands of thieves...you do not stone women to death who have not reserved their chastity until marriage...you do not jail women who would dare show their face in public...

American law is based in the Christian ethic...period.

You don't place your hand on the Q'aran...you place your hand on the Bible. ;)

Very true, Bob.

But Muslims have every right to practice their religion in the United States. That's supported by a founding principal of our Nation- defined in the 1st Amendment.

So are you saying every Muslim stones women and cuts off hands? You know, there was a time and place Christians burned women at the stake and cut off people's heads. Somehow though, I doubt most Christians would appreciate being lumped into that category.;) There are extreme examples in any religion, culture, etc...

btw- Obama is not a Muslim. Although, I did hear he eats babies. That was forwarded to me in an email so it's gotta be true, right? Please let me know because I can't think for myself.

I think you missed my point...You said the United States was not based in Christianity...I disagreed.

Does every Muslim do the acts I mentioned...no...but I know the true Muslim states still engage in those acts. Speak to any oilworker back from 'sandland', and see what they have to say...

Women weren't burnt at the stake...but 'witches' were...centuries ago...

...and yes...beheading was a means of execution (as recently as the last century, actually...the guillotine).

Ummm...what were we arguing about?...(:D)

Yup...those ol' witches always come back to haunt ya !! :D:D

Funny how a converstion goes 'round, isn't it...??

Here we are talking politics...somehow ended up on religion...and then on to fairytales...only to come to the realization that many feel you just elected the 'Boogie Man'...

The only thing for sure?!?...the future is coming.

Wanna borrow my crystal ball?:D

The first thing that everyone I heard say was " He can't make it 6 months before someone takes a shot at him"

Things could have been worse, we almost had a pure Frenchman running our country again :D:D:D, instead we got a Doughhead

He wasn't trying to run the country, Lewis!!...

He was trying to run to the twah-let...!! (:D:D)...got confused and ran for the Liberal party instead !!!

...and took them ALL to the twah-let, wit' 'imself, tabernouche! :D:D:D

Anyone notice how some of his early choices for cabinet members is starting to look alot like the clinton era? Can't tell me this wasn't a little payback for someone dropping out of the race early:D

Who said positive change wasn't good for Washington, he isn't even in office yet and we will have to wait for a different president before we find out what that looks like;)

Only my opinion though!

Don't know about the comparison to the Clinton era, but after all the corruption and scandals with the Ford family in Memphis and Tennessee I about choked last night when the news we get from Memphis said that Harold Ford Jr was likely to have a place in the Obama administration.:eek::eek:

Will be interesting for sure to see who he picks for what jobs.

Pretty sure us ' outdoorsy' folks who like to hunt and take part in LEGAL gun activities are going to be in for a change...unfortunately. Not much will change for the gun-totin gangster wannabes, except they will get some more money from the gov't. I hope the Obama supporters realize there isnt gonna be a check in ther mailbox everyday courtesy of the rich people.....sometimes my fellow Americans upset me!!

Watch the video: http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u90/snopesbinary/Politics/?action=view&current=abc_obama_anthem_071022a.flv

Although it is clearly seen that he is not holding his hand over his heart, it does appear in the video that he "might" be singing along with the woman (who really is the one that should be ashamed........couldn't sing worth a flip.:D)

It appears he is watching whoever is singing, as is Hillary and Richarson.

He claims that his grandfather taught him that you put your hand over your heart when saying the pledge, and you sing along with the National Anthem.

Which I must say, I can't remember putting my hand over my heart when the Anthem has been played:o, but I do when the Pledge is being said.

I'm not sure how to call this one guys and trust me, he ain't my favorite person.:o

Remain ignorant???? lets not group us all im 22 and dont consider myself ignorant. I do understand you said most that you know and yes younger people did vote for Obama more than McCain. I however was a McCain supporter

the multi-quote thing wouldn't work for me, but bghunter was quoting someone else in his post as well.

But I'm going to have to agree and say most of our generation does remain ignorant. I'm still in high-school, and even though only about half of the senior class here can vote, EVERYONE talked about Obama, ALL the time. Whether they like him or not, it was like being an Obama supporter was the cool thing to do. If I even mentioned McCain, I was suddenly a racist redneck. People were wearing Obama shirts everywhere, putting Obama stickers all over everything, it was rediculous. But anytime you would ask somebody why they would vote for Obama, it was because "McCain is just George Bush the 3rd" They couldn't say anything good about Obama, other than that he would change things, and they couldn't say anything bad about Bush, other than that HE started the war, and ruined our economy. I honestly got sick of listening to people at school talking about Obama all the time, chanting his name in the hallways etc. It really got rediculous. Out of everyone at my school, I can remember about 5 others who supported McCain. Thats out of a senior class of around 300 people. So yes, I would agree, my generation, at least here in Evansville, remains ignorant.

Anyways, I voted for McCain. I'm still against Barrack.

I agree. Our generation is ignorant.

I didn't even want to go to school Wednesday, but I did. First class I went to, the talk was all about how everyone was going crazy on campus that night(I live off campus).

In 2 of my 4 classes HEATED arguments broke out. McCain supporters being called racists basically.

In my marraige and family class, our professor, as part of the planned lecture, was speaking on how we should invest money as soon as possible because social security will run out eventually... one guys was response was "Obama will change it" I laughed, really loud.

Several cars were painted with car chalk. My favorites were "My President is BLACK" and McCain's name in a circle with a slash through it.

Another highlight of my week has been the "statuses" on facebook. Luckily I'm friend with mostly McCain supporters, but I've lost all respect for some people that I went to high school with and called my friends.

you know fellas, its sad, everyone wants equality but when Barack is elected the african americans all claim he is their savior and president, well he has to represent all americans like it or not. he is everyones president not just one race and that is what everyone around me is acting like, no one knows his policies just that he is african american. i heard one woman at work going on about how she didnt know his grandma was white.if you want everyone to be treated equal the people who call barack their savior need to treat everyone else as equal, that starts by not saying he is our savior. unfortunetly he will be our (all americans) president...

He won't make it four years. Any body remember the Revolutionary War America stood up to England. I will tell you what this country for the most part save for some have become POS that don't know how to talk without a cue card. Dont you mistake for one minute though when someone lights a fire under our A-- we will just roll over. It only takes so much to piss off the sleeping giant. By that I the honest to goodness Americans who HOLD THERE HAND OVER THEIR HEART DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM, WHO GET GOOSE BUMPS WHEN ITS PLAYED. This government thinks for one minute that they can just walk all over some of us I surely do hope that you all feel like I do and will stand up and shoot back. Over my dead body will this place become a socialist state such as DPRK or the PRC.

Sorry for the rant had to let it all out.

Have a good day and GOD BLESS THE USA
