Ohiobucks
BTW--I'm nominating the Ohiobuck's post for post of the decade. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Chris' expression is priceless in that second pic. That's Chris' expression ALL THE TIME! He walks around like that, sits around like that, talks like that, this is all the time! The first pic was his odd ball look......I had to ask him to make a funny face to get that one!
Guest UPS VT
My first deer of any kind was a 56 pound button buck that came with a bow. I thought it was a doe, until I found it and turned it over to gut it. Be proud of taking a deer, any deer with a bow.
Tominator
i shot a nubber last year smaller than chris'! Impossible. That's Chris' expression ALL THE TIME! He walks around like that, sits around like that, talks like that, this is all the time! The first pic was his odd ball look......I had to ask him to make a funny face to get that one! Just around you. You're funny lookin'.
Hoyt03
Ive taken a few buttons by mistake in my earlier yrs as well. Once you see a few of them they get pretty easy to pick out. If your in the woods and you see a small lone deer walking around acting real dumb and has the short nose and face almost always a BB. They seem to wander around without a care in the world. I also consider BB to be called fawns because it's only .5 yrs old. I call the 1.5 yr olds yearlings. Anyways congrats on the bow kill and I can speak from experience that it will be very tender and good eating.
Leo
If you're trying to shoot does in an area, you will eventually kill some buttonheads. It's gonna happen. Don't sweat it.

JimT
Nothing wrong with that. I have taken two fawn button bucks thinking they were does. They tasted great and a bowkill is a bowkill!!!!

njbowhntr
Congrats on your first archery harvest. As long as in your mind and heart it is a trophy, then that is all that matters.
