Gator
I lost a mag to my pistol awhile back, and finally decided it was time to get a replacement:rolleyes:. Went to this little store I been to, and they were PACKED. Talked to a buddy from work who went to one of the big stores this morning, and they were busy as well. Don't know about buying anymore guns, but I did stock up on some rifle and pistol ammo while I was out:(
BowtechTurkeyHunter
Not a single Black gun to be had from any distributor I deal with ... they sold every one they had on Monday. Absolutely no reason for ppl to freak ... over reaction just leads to chaos. PS you find your magazine? Steve
Jeramie
This weekend is the biggest gun show in Oklahoma (in Tulsa). It takes a day just to cover half of it..... Im sure it will be PACKED.

wtnhunt
Hmmmm, wonder why. Think I am going to have to pick up some extra mags as well. Already planning to order some more of the cheap ultramax ammo for my AR, but it is not in stock. Don't know how my rifle would do with the federal stuff from wal mart, but may have to check into it if I cannot get the ultramax ammo. Looking through cabelas site, I am not finding any decent .223 ammo that is in stock. I agree there may not be need to panic, but it never hurts to be overstocked on ammo that you will use. I had planned on picking up a couple more boxes of shells from wal mart this morning for the .243's and my .270, but the gun counter manager was not there. My case to the wife for getting the stuff to be able to reload just got a whole lot easier. Have several hundred pieces of once fired brass for the .223, .243, and .270, going to have to do some checking on the equipment.
Rhino
Hmmmm, wonder why. Because of concerns Obama, along with our Democratic controlled House and Senate now will levy outragous taxes on ammunition and guns. That was just one of the concerns I heard about long before the election. I may have to stock up on powder, primers and some pistol ammo that I don't reload. hogwild63
no reason to freak... yeah right I work at Academy sports in the hunting section on the weekends. I stoped in the store Tuesday morning to buy some energy bars and the hunting manager said we had sold all the AR-15s except a few that were slow sellers anyway. Alot can happen in 4 years and if there are several more incidents like Georgia tech, the congress will have a friendly pen in the White House. His voting record speaks for itself. If there are more incidents, it will be unpopular to vote against more restrictions. Just think if those skin heads were successful in attacking the black school kids. I am not saying that the Democrats are going to do it unabated but I am saying that the time is right for this thing to come about and all the pieces are coming into place with revisionist history and judicial interpretation of the intent of the constitution. Based on his statements about how long "the change" could take to come about, he is confident he will have 2 terms to implement "the change". "Absolutely no reason for ppl to freak ... over reaction just leads to chaos." I think that the overreaction is really a statement that we do not believe him when he says he will listen to our concerns and include us in his process. He has already said he would not take away any guns for hunting but he would take away AK-47's from criminals. How does he intend to do what no one else could without out right banning those guns from everyone? If you don't like "black guns", then Obama is your man. BowtechTurkeyHunter
Yeah..................... .......................the democrats would never infringe on one's gun rights. Still no reason for ppl to freak ... unless you want to. To me that causes more chaos then anything ... personally I dont care what ppl do but there isn't a single reason anyone can give me for freaking out and going into a panic. Its not the end of the world bu any means ... buy your stuff and move on. And please dont pull off the lame excuse I have heard 5 billion times that this is what Europe and Austrailia did blah blah blah ... none of the Countries that got there firearms taken away have or had a Constitution to protect there rights. I still put my faith and trust in the constitution its about all we have left at this point ... stick by it its what this great country was founded on. Steve What I saw at the store was NOT ppl "freaking" but taking advantage of the current situation before it "changes". If he had not won the election, there would not be any need to take this opportunity to purchase a gun before the assault rifle ban is reinstated. Simple. But having said that... "Its not the end of the world bu any means ... buy your stuff and move on." Just having the attitude of buying your stuff and moving on is quite disturbing when a constitutional right is being infringed upon. Sounds like guns is not the only thing that is being bought. Chaos is 1 company selling 880 Black guns in 1 day .... that is chaos ... Freaking is everyone saying that Jan 20th there gun rights are gone ... Gator
I'm not freaking, I'm just living reality. I realize that there will be a day in the next 4-8yrs (god forbid the latter) that my Second Amendment rights WILL be infringed on, and so I am doing what I can NOW to "beat the rush" so to speak. And it's MY RIGHT to do just that. I fought for it, and will exercise it

Steve Don't really think people are freaking out too much here Steve, but moreso expressing their thoughts and concerns. At least I do not think there is a panic from where I have taken things. Black rifle and ammo sales have been up from what I understand even prior to the election. The idea that the assualt weapon ban that Obama said Bush letting lapse was a mistake tends to make most people feel like he will let a ban be put back in place, so yeah there is reason to see the jump in sales. Have no doubt Pelosi and liberals controlling both houses will eventually bring the ban back up. I would like to have another black rifle myself, don't think our right to buy them will end on Jan 20th when Obama takes office, however I can see where the high volume of sales will make it tougher to find them and so maybe those who have wants who are buying now are maybe kind of playing it smart for what they fear in the future. I would not call that panic, but I guess from your end of things on the sales side I could see where it would be very chaotic for you and can understand your point too. I might just have to do some looking around while I can and see if I can find a lar 308.

Just remember this........ we are, as a nation, just one obama Supreme Court justice nomination away from the recent 5-4 decision in favor of the 2nd Ammendment going the other way. democrat politicians are notorious rapists of the Constitutuon and you can carve that one in stone. nativetexan
This lackadaisical mentality of "it won't happen" is what got us in this mess in the first place...I won't panic, but you can bet I have stepped it up to make sure that this "reign" doesn't last too long. The liberal democrats are pretty comfortable with the fact that we are complacent, and it shows.
