Deer mang.

I'll add one more thing to Randy's list, and that's peace and quiet. On small property, it needs to stay as undisturbed as possible. If you have decent cover and don't go into it often, the deer will find it and start using it as a sanctuary. So get your stands and shooting lanes in early, then back out. Slip in and out as quietly as possible. Try to plan your routes to create a minimal disturbance. And pay attention to the wind. Not just for sitting in your stand(s), but also for walking in and out. I think that's one of the major screw ups many people make. They walk to their stand and their scent blows across an area that's holding deer.
