Rifle opener conditions

Well, this weekend is going to be a doozy.... The rut is in full swing about and they are predicting a winter storm watch for this entire opening weekend. What I'm worried about is the wind, it's supposed to be about 15-20 mph and a high temp of about 30.

What do you guys predict the deer will be doing, I'm sure the cold weather and the rut will really get them going... But then again if conditions are as bad as I think they're going to be and how much corn is standing they may just go bed down...

Any suggestions on what to do??

I am also from Minnesota and believe that the next two weekends should be just about perfect. My advice is the wind is blowing hard is to set up on the ground in some decent cover where the deer may try to sneak through. The deer will more than likely not go out into the open with low visibility and blustery winds, but they will have to move at some point. Another benefit of being in a blind is the wind will move through the treetops above you and may move your scent out quickly. Good luck this weekend, I will unfortunately be stuck at college until next weekend when I'll be able to finally get out! Let us know how it turns out for you.
