pendog
Please read this article and tell me if you read the same thing i did.... http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20081106/pl_afp/usvotejustice Did it really say he could appoint himself? Is that like now or at the end of his term? I might be reading it wrong. I wont rant until i hear some of your replies to this.....see i am reasonable:)
Texan_Til_I_Die
I believe that is correct. The President can appoint anyone, even someone who isn't an attorney, to the Supreme Court. And theoretically he could appoint himself, although I'm sure he would have to resign as President if the Senate confirmed him. Now in reality, would that ever happen? Don't think so. Of course with this crowd, who really knows?
Texan_Til_I_Die
BTW - I wouldn't be surprised to see him nominate Chuck Schumer and/or Hillary Clinton.
wtnhunt
Kind of sounds that way to me.
pendog
Watch out for Hilary and Slicky her husband, they would love to have a guaranteed job for life. She is done trying to run for president so this seems natural. Or Gore:eek: I heard that Kerry was "feeling" around for a position. And at the end of his term i could see him nominate himself. Where is Olivar Stone:D STill scary even though...
